I installed it on my RV and bought an extension cable to run it through to a new JVC receiver with backup camera functions. I tried it at night and the white car behind me lit up very bright and the sides of the driveway where visible as well. I'll need to live with it for a while to see how it performs but so far so good. I'm able to point it down so that it shows the whole rear bumper\trailer hitch while still seeing about 15 feet behind me. I like that for backing into RV camping spots with trees and bushes around. One slight issue if you don't have an overhang to mount the camera under you will have to provide your own.
