That depends on how dusty or contaminated the air in your work environment is. I have used the dust particulates only filters in some very dusty environments, with sanded paint, wood and plaster dusts clogging the filter. One should always do as the instructions advise, though I just gave the filters a tap and gently blew out the dust, and used the "press to check" function to make sure that everything was fine (which it was), although next time I will likely use a can of compressed air. I find the seal around the nose and mouth to be the best and most comfortable I have used by a long margin, and I reckon you will find they last at least as well as others, and remember that if they do completely clog, that's all contaminants that aren't in your lungs. **Q: Why are they so expensive when only £8.99 at other retailers** A: As a manufacturer, we advise retailers of our suggested retail price.
