Works well for the price.
While placed on the corner of a bedroom, it reduced around 4db in the room when no sound was going, and around 3db when the tv was playing sound at 10% volume. It works pretty well for recording vocals specifically, but is not soundproof. It would probably get 5 stars from me if it was a touch thicker, 1 inch isn't as big as most people assume.
