The foot rest is not necessarily a foot rest, it's more for your calves ( I'm 5'9") The assembly took me roughly 30-45 minutes. The wheel base isn't broad enough to keep it from tipping. We didn't install the footrest since it encourages reclining. Fortunately, this wasn't an important feature for me, the primary user. The gray with blue looks great. I like the support pillows. Not hard to assemble, but it took some thought since there aren't any instructions included.
