The inside is lined with nice material lining. The metal zippers are smooth and the multiple pockets will keep everything organized for her. It can hold 4 Hobby Lobby sized skeins, or 8 smaller balls of yarn. Unless you want to add in your pack of knitting needles or crochet hooks, and that takes up some room that I needed for yarn.
