Seventh Generation All Purpose Cleaner, Free & Clear, 23 Fluid Ounce

We have really nice "leathered" (matte finish) granite countertops. A few years ago, a friend told me about this product which they purchased from Target to keep their kitchen clean. I picked up a bottle and was happily impressed with both the cleaning ability and subtle orange smell of it. My old granite cleaning product had a very cloying scent that lingered for hours after wiping down my counters that I hated and this just smells clean for a minute after wiping down and then goes away. Target stopped carrying the product in my area so naturally I checked Amazon and was pleased to find it available here. If you have nice stone counters and want to keep them clean with little effort and a more "natural" product, this is for you.

This cleaner was recommended in a book on making sourdough starter and baking bread. The author felt you wouldn't want harsh chemicals around your starter as it could kill the yeast you need to get it fermenting. But you need to keep the area clean so the starter doesn't get contaminated with molds. I can't speak to chemical compositions or environmental safety but I trust the author. I can say it cleans the counters and my stovetop really well. I always get a fine layer of flour all over the place and wash the surfaces at least once a day. There is no bad smell that burns my nose like the bleach cleaner sprays and the surface is sparkling afterwards. It only gets streaky if I didn't get all the flour off. I dry the surfaces with a towel because I want to be able to see if they are shiny clean so I don't know if it would dry streaky, but I don't think it does. It is very easy to dry.

I used windex and method window cleaners for years. Due to CoVid all manner of cleaners were out of stock and so I ended up trying something new. This cleaner does a far better job than what I had been using. Gets those doggy nose marks and collected pollen dust right off my glass doors. As for scent, either it’s not scented or the scent is so mild that I don’t recall smelling anything. I already use Seventh Generation dishwasher soap; add this window cleaner now to that list. I will repurchase.

This product is great. The best thing I've ever used for glass. Better than other store bought cleaners and better than all the home recipes I've tried. You don't have to apply too much, a couple of small sprays to the surface is enough. I wipe with a clean, dry cloth, any type of cloth, and it sparkles. Leaves no streaks.
