It means it’s working to rid you of wrinkles and dead skin. I am a 60 year old female and have used this product off and on since it came out. This is a great product but as with any product...different weather, or other skin care products/make up sometimes don’t work well together. This cream has two different exfoliating acids in it, the “pilling” “balling” or “flaking” are the results of at least 1 of 3 possibilities (in some cases all three)... #1) Application should be thin. #2) Use an exfoliating scrub once or twice a week this will eliminate some flaking. #3) Some foundations just don’t play well with others. It was kinda strange but as I exfoliate with coconut oil and sugar as well as use this product twice a day the “shedding” of old dead skin has slowed down considerably.
