is total six pack weight 48 oz of product?

Well, if each container holds eight ounces of product, which it does, and you opt for a six-pack, you'll get 48 ounces of product. I endorse this copper cleaner above anything else I've used.

how do I remove the top of a 4 lb. copper cream jar?

I only buy small jars at a time. It really does a great job on the botton of my copper cookware. As far as opening a large jar of this cleaner I use a grip cloth you can buy at Target or places like that. It grips the top and with a little extra hard turning it ususally will open. Good Luck it really does work!
