Once of the ink cartridges was damaged I spoke to customer service and a replacement full set of colours was replaced immediately. I had purchased faulty item 3 months earlier. What fantastic service the definitely deserve 5*

I just was about to return these as the first time after installation, they did not draw black ink. After using two compatible sets in the past with the second one of another brand, still new, and not working properly, I had to order genuine cartridges and this is when the magic happened… After installing the genuine product and printing two excellent copies, I returned the compatibles into the machine with intention to print two fails. That’s when both compatible sets of different brands produced two prints with desirable quality. Now I’m stuck with 3 sets of cartridges, all working. 😀 Based on past experience with compatibles - I would expect this new set to work just fine for about several months (very occasional printing). Installation is straightforward, I’d expect some leakage maybe but not before removal from the machine. So far none. The set comes though with a pair of nylon gloves for such cases.

lThe first set of these I purchase worked fine. One of the colour cartridges needed replacing, so I ordered another complete set to replace just the cartridge that was emptied, and then it all went wrong. The printer message ‘One or more appeared damaged or faulty, so rather reluctantly, I replaced the whole set. I had the same message error message repeatedly, and that made the printer unusable. I thought the printer head may need cleaning (which I had done several times before using distilled water to flush. The head was clean anyway but I went ahead and cleaned it, but still the same error message came up. Smart Ink recommend their check list, which I had previously followed, so I contacted them and explained what I was experiencing. They were apologetic and sent out a replacement set of cartridges. I tried these and the same error message came up. I contacted them the company again, they were sorry for the inconvenience and said I could have a full refund to my account. My feeling is, that is all fine, but the problem was not solved and I am needing to go back to HP original cartridges to confirm the printer is working properly, which is more expense and continued downtime for my printer. Smart Ink guarantee their cartridges will work or your money back… true! But, it’s taken some time and expense to see they do not work a second time round on a printer. As the printer needs to be connected to HP online for support and driver upgrades, they must know that copy cartridges are being used, so what can they write into their driver software to sabotage your printer from using copy cartridge versions? It’s a shame because the first set I used worked great, but I won’t buy more as I’m not convinced as yet!

Their not perfect and the printer does moan about them being non genuine but they work and that's the main thing and for a fraction of the cost.

HP Printers are always a nightmare when using third party cartridges. Had issues with installing these, but Alice on the support line was great and resolved problem with replacement cartridges on the same day....Hopefully when these arrive they'll work first time. Remember to update your printer firmware via HP Smart before installing.

Much cheaper than the HP ink but the heads dry out and requires cleaning regularly Not so much at first but as they get older, it becomes more frequent. The HP ones never did that but for this low price, it’s worth the trade off. The print quality isn’t the best but for this price, who cares. I'll keep buying them. I only print garbage documents anyway. If you need high quality reliable prints, these will not do the job. But for regular print, work prints and whatnot, these are perfect. Definitely recommend and will never buy HP ink ever again. Update: I had an issue with some cartridges failing in about a year’s use but still had plenty of ink left. I reached out to the seller and they immediately responded and provided a resolution all within an hour of my submission. Smart Ink is definitely standing behind their product. Hard to find great customer support these days. I’m on my third set of cartridges and still paid less than half of what HP would charge for one low yield set of cartridges. It’s criminal what HP charges. Buy the Smart Ink and save your money!
