After researching ethernet cable download and upload speed (I didn't know it varied based on cable category) I decided to upgrade from my generic grade ethernet cable (you know, the simple, flat, grey type). I think it's a cat 6 but, I'm not sure as there is no number printed on the cable. After receiving and hooking up, I did several internet speed tests. Oddly, my old, generic cable delivered faster up/down speeds. So, I'm disappointed. On the plus side, the cable is designed well. I like the flexibility and sturdiness of the design.

This is a really reliable and sturdy Cat8 cables. I bought three of them to replace my old Cat7 cables due to they where old and seemed to have issues but not these ones. The plugs are very sturdy and well made and not flimsy like the original cat cables. Now for the rest. Once I connected all the cables to my XFINITY modem, then to my Xbox X, Xbox S and my two desktop computers the speed is excellent now. There is no lag or circles of dispare, just fast speeds and smooth videos. I highly recommend these to anyone with internet speeds 1gig or higher is best. Lower speeds aren't recommend if you ask me but hey It's up to you. My reviews are my honest opinions on the products I purchase only. Was having sped and freezing problems on my network. It was old Cat 5 and I upgraded to Cat 8. No problems now! The price was right to for this product.

This bumped up my speed.
