I got this cable to connect to a 5K monitor and so far it has worked as expected, fully able to produce full 5K. It works well with both macOS and PC, no issues. I have this going from a third party connection attached to the Mac and can report it works flawlessly. Third party connection is 80GB T5 device. with displayport connection and no compatibility issues. The cable is a looks good and and seems durable and good value for money. From my experience if I needed another cable I would get another one from silkland.

Solved the issues I was having with my other "8k+" DP cables, and now drives a 4k 144hz panel with no problems, does everything you need but nothing more, great product.

Can never go wrong with sikland other brands never delivers full 80gbps even tho they says it's certified

Huh. It actually worked. Using this with an Asus PG32UCDM and it's able to carry a 10 bit HDR, VRR enabled, 240hz signal no problem. I was under the impression that the maximum length for an 80gbps non optical cable was 2m or so, but I guess that's changed. Maybe it's just that this is not yet certified? Running the 5m cable and it's even a bit too long but works like a charm. Seems to be unidirectional as well, so not fibre optic I imagine. Please note that the cable is extremely thick and hard to handle, twice as thick as a regular DP 2.1 cable.
