Sanar Naturals Gentian Violet, 1 fl oz - Violeta de Genciana - Tincture of Violet 1% First Aid Antiseptic

We were seriously on Nystatin for over a month with no improvement! We discovered our baby had oral thrush at her two week check up, so the Dr prescribed Nystatin for the baby and wanted my OB to prescribe a cream for me even though I had no symptoms of thrush. After a month of no difference and every time I called the Dr to tell her there was no difference, she said just keep doing what we were doing, sometimes it takes a while to clear up. So I decided to do my own online research and saw people had success with something called Genitian Violet. I was willing to try anything, ordered this right away and it came super fast. I applied it to her mouth with a q-tip once a day at night because I didn't want her mouth to be super purple during the day, it's the darkest deepest purple when you first apply and turns more of a lighter lavender as the day goes on. I would say it takes about two days for the purple to be completely gone. I used this once a day for 1 1/2 weeks straight and the thrush was gone! I noticed and improvement by day three, but kept going until it was all gone. Her tongue went from a caked on white coating back to a normal pink just like that. Wish I used this right when we found out she had it. I heard it can come back sometimes so if it does, guess we will have a purple mouth for a short while again. Definitely recommend. By the way, I ran this by my pediatrician before I did it and she didn't say yes or no to use it, but that yes she had heard of it and there hasn't been much research on it. I felt okay doing this and it seemed way better then what the Dr next step would be which is yet another stronger medication.
