The price was what I paid for a 1 oz pkg a year ago.This was 4 - 1 ounce tins for the same price.Beautiful colour, scent, and flavour.After reading the reviews, before purchase, I realised,Not being a pure aficionado of saffron, the less expensive brand might work just as well for myself.Fortunately, I was correct. I can not detect any difference between the Afghan saffron, from the Spanish saffron. But with the price difference, there must be one?But being an amateur, like I said, I can not detect the differences.So, if not too terribly particular, this saffron may suit your needs also.I haven’t been dissatisfied at all.Every time I open the tin, I get a fresh whiff of saffron,Hhhmmm good!I’ll purchase this brand again, when necessary.
