Great quality and fit. I bought two for our kitchen knives and they are wonderful for organization and minimizing counter clutter.

Apparently my husband has a knife fetish. I always suspected it, but after owning this knife tray for 3 years there is no denying it. When I got it, it fit all of our kitchen knives perfectly, allowing me to get rid of the clunky (and usually dusty) knife block that had been on our countertop for over 20 years. The tray fit in our drawer very nicely and all the knives were neatly lined up and under control. Note, our steak knives are in their own holder so this is just used for cooking knives. Now, somehow, I find myself needing to either buy another one or else get a bigger one. DH has collected MORE kitchen knives and swears he can't get rid of any of them. He rotates through them, with different ones being his "favorite" for a few days before he abandons it for another one that has caught his eye. Now a bunch of knives are laying loose in the drawer between this tray and the cutlery tray and every time I reach in there I half-way expect to lose a fingertip. We're planning to move soon and I brought up the subject of weeding out the kitchen knives and he nearly fainted. It's just like a little kid with 4000 plastic dinosaurs who can't give up a SINGLE ONE of them! I keep forwarding articles to him where the experts say you only need at most THREE kitchen knives, but he ignores them. ...sigh... I suppose there are worse fetishes he could have.... [...smile...] Seriously, this tray has worked very well for over 3 years now. If you have no more than 7 knives to store, with no more than 3 of those being long knives, then this should work fine for you. But if you have more knives, or a spouse who can't resist a shiny, sharp new knife, then you should go for a larger one that holds more. Check the dimensions to make sure it fits your drawer.

We absolutely love our drawers block! It's is great quality and it really holds all of our knives. It was a great buy. It freed up a lot of counter space and this is more functional because we always had to pull the block out to get a knife out because of the height of our block.

Absolutely love this knife storage unit. I can get knives big or small organized and have BONUS space in front for the carrot peeler. The wide cheese peeler goes on the space in top in the back.

I don't know about you, but I hate having stuff all over my kitchen countertops! Seriously, I don't know why some people want to leave various pieces of kitchen equipment out on display. I like a place for everything, and everything in its place, so my house remains clean and tidy. Clutter and I don't get along. I have a few items, like my big KitchenAid stand mixer, sitting on my countertops because they get used frequently and I don't have anywhere else to store them... but most things are neatly stored in cabinets, drawers, and a walk-in pantry. Life's easier for me this way. I bought this so I could store my cutlery in a drawer instead of in a wooden block on the countertop. It does what it's supposed to do and it fits my kitchen drawer with room to spare. I'm keeping my original Wusthof wooden storage block in case I ever move to another house and the in-drawer block doesn't fit, but being able to store my knives in a drawer makes me happy beyond words! This product looks like it's gonna be easy to clean. That's a big plus. As for the reviewer who complained about knives resting on rubber-coated metal posts, that doesn't appear to be the case with this product. My knives rest on wood dowels, and the entire unit appears to be made of wood. I don't see any rubber or metal anywhere.

This was purchased as a gift for our son-in-law. It was an absolute hit. He got up and immediately started loading their knives into it! It’s solid feeling, good looking, and just the right size for their space. It holds enough knives that they shouldn’t require a second knife block. We felt it was a bit expensive for what it is, but it fits the bill perfectly and made the birthday boy happy, so it was worth it.

UPDATE: The next one I ordered was in perfect condition and was my final selection. It was a little shorter than my kitchen drawer so I cut a piece of wood to fill the space so it doesn’t slide around when opening and closing the drawer. I am very happy with this Wusthof knife drawer organizer. PRIOR REVIEW: I am a fan of the Wusthof Classic line (not a fan of the much lower quality Gourmet line). Perhaps this is from the Gourmet line because while I think the product layout is great and there larger version will accommodate my needs, the wood seems soft because the one I received had a dent in wood in the right front as well as a 1 inch piece of wood missing from the left front. At first I thought this was my preferred option for a knife drawer organizer but we will see. I ordered a replacement if it appears poorly made too, I will find one of better quality. Had the wood been a better quality and had it arrived without damage, this product would have received 5+ stars because the slots are roomy enough for knives to stay dry in a closed drawer and still prevent the knives from sliding back and forth with opening and closing the drawer. Silicone feet would have been a good addition to help keep the organizer in place but I will add them if the final item I purchase doesn’t have them. Just a few small changes would make this live up to the higher quality standard I expect from Wusthof.

It’s too big for the drawers. So returned it. It a good product.

Looks nice. But the packaging was absolutely pathetic!! Fortunately the edges didn’t get chipped. Otherwise would have returned it!!!
