Review: Nice Ayurvedic mix... I added some ingredients to customize for my hair type - I appreciate this mix - it has beneficial ingredients I needed to make a customized oil for my 4C, thirsty hair. This is the formula that's working for me: 1 package of this mix 1 tbsp whole cloves 1 tbsp moringa powder 1 tbsp dried rosemary leaves 1 tbsp black cumin seed powder 8 oz grapeseed oil 8 oz castor oil 8 oz sweet almond oil 8 oz jojoba oil 8 oz coconut oil I used more oil than the directions called for because the herb mix absorbed the oil and I wanted to have extra product at the end. I put all ingredients in a x-large glass jar and mixed well. I don't have a double boiler so I filled a large pot with water, brought it to a boil then down to a simmer. I put a clean dish towel in the bottom of the pot and sat the glass jar with the herb/oil mix on top of the towel and simmered for about 1/2 hour to allow the herbs to infuse with the oil. I let it cool, then strained it through a piece of clean white pantyhose. I poured some of the oil into an amber dropper bottle and added 2 drops of tea tree oil and 2 drops of peppermint oil. I transferred the rest of the infused oil into 2 mason jars and store it in my cabinet (dry, dark, cool area). I wash, deep condition, and cornrow my hair. I spray my scalp and cornrows with rosemary water every other day and use this oil to seal it in. Areas of my hair that were damaged and thinned by weaves and too-tight ponytails have grown in. When I go out, I throw on a hair hat (wig) and go about my business. With consistent use, I am seeing growth, health, and thickening of my hair, and when I take the braids out every 2 weeks, my hair is well moisturized and doesn't smell. **Q: How to use it**
A: Traditionally! Back in india my grand mom and mom warms the oil and add all the ingredients to hot oil and sim, keep stirring the oil till see the ingredients leaving color to the oil. Be careful not to burn the ingredients. Once see color change and smell changes, off the boiling oil and keep it aside. After it comes down to cold transfer it to another container. Choice is yours if you want to strain it or use the whole.. Apply it root to tip of hair and tie steaming tower.

**Q: Can castor oil be used instead of coconut oil?**
A: This can be infused in any oil of your choice. Coconut is advised because of its adsorption properties and its ability to absorb into the hair shaft. While castor oil is beneficial, there are different oils that would serve as a better carrier oil because they are not as heavy ie.  jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, or olive oil

**Q: Can this be left in or does it have to be washed out? I purchased it but there are no instructions on how to use.**
A: You may leave in herbal oil after each use, whether you apply daily or every other day.. Wash out on your Wash Day...

**Q: You list 10 herbs but the 8 vital herbs for hair care. What are the eight remaining herbs not listed?**
A: I think that was an old packaging but the new one list all 18 vital herbs.They are as follows: Avarampoo ,Valampuri , Edampuri ,Kadukkai , Khus Khus, Velankuchi Ver, Rose petal, Althimaduram, Pulankilangu, Carboga arisi, Vebalam Pattai, Karunjeerakam , Maruthani Vithai, Nelli, Vasambu, Sadamanji, Makilampoo and Samangi Vithai
