Works really well if you follow the proper instructions and have the right tools! Seems to be a slight learning curve so I would recommend using it on a batch of wine with less expensive ingredients until you get it down. Took me for the second attempt to make a better product to add to the mead. It really helps if you have a magic bullet or a small blender with a detachable cup to mix up the solution. Add one teaspoon at a time and blend it up to prevent clumping, what I got was about a consistency that was like soft serve ice cream and put it into 1 gallon of mead. Using a fork to mix it seemed very ineffective and frustrating, the magic bullet took all the effort out and was done in <1 minute. From what I've seen, some people say warm water is fine but I just boiled it just to be safe, and it seemed to work so I would recommend boiling it. Attached pictures are a span of Monday to Thursday, the full results should be seen in roughly a week. If I remember I will post another picture when one week has passed. Edit for update: appears to work very nicely, results were less visible after 4 days but works great.

I never used bentonite for wine that I made. It worked surprisingly fast. Only minor problem is how much it has to be stirred to get all of it mixed in with the water. I am glad that I bought it. It makes things so much easier.
