Great product. Tastey and savory but expensive as heck.

The first 2 bites were okay, however, after that the taste was horrible. I've never eaten dog/cat food, but I'm sure the taste may be similar. I would not recommend this product. I even tried adding it rice and gravy and it was STILL AWFUL. S complete waste of my money.

I bought this because I had a positive experience with the Original Kalahari Biltong and wanted to branch out. The flavor is about average. Unfortunately, the gristle in this brand is consistently a problem. I ordered a two-pack and found throughout, that no piece was really free of gristle in either pack. Secondly, and exacerbating the first point, many of the slices are really too thick to meet true biltong standards. I did give it three stars for positive customer service. I wrote and explained my evaluation of the product. They provided a second shipment free of charge. However, the quality of the product was still the same - just too much gristle and mostly far too thick.

This stuff is pretty awesome, and I have a hard time keeping my hand out of the bag! When I bring it to the office everyone loves it. Yes, it's a little pricey by pound, but any dried beef or jerky is pricey. This stuff is awesome though, so much better than jerky!
