Awesome weather alert radio!!!
Love the look and functionality of this radio. Works perfect and alerts with a loud siren and information, and it has a plug in alert light that can be mounted on the wall for those that are hearing impaired. Was easy to program the S.A.M.E. codes from NOAA's Government Weather website.

Wonderful Weather Radio!!
You can see and hear everything clearly. I was able to set easily. When the emergency alerts goes off it names off the counties close by my location. Small, yet a powerful weather tool.

Works well
Works well. I don't think it's as sensitive as the old Midland weather radio I used to have, but with the external antenna wire up it gets what I need out here in the middle of Kansas. Programming was straightforward.

Nice Radio
Works well for weather emergencies. It is difficult to program so unable yet to use all the functions but the tornado watch/warning was perfect.

Great NOAA radio
I set it up in minutes and it picked up every alert. I like the red alert bulb having a long wire. It picks up my weather station very well. I liked it so well I recommended it to my sister who likes hers as well. The alert is very loud and can be heard from several rooms away. The battery backyp is a great feature.

Piece of Junk / Waste of Money
I wish I could give this piece of junk zero stars! I purchased this unit in December 2025 and have NEVER been able to get it to work. My return window is long gone, but I got fired up because we had torrential rain and thunderstorms today here in Missouri and got absolutely NOTHING from an alert perspective. The dumb thing just keeps flashing โCheck reception.โ I have had ZERO success getting the unit to connect to the weather frequency for my area, despite having followed the directions and watching several YouTube videos. Looks like this unit is going to the electronics recycling bin and Iโll be purchasing another Midland brand weather radio. It sucks to waste money!

Just as good as Midland, lower price, comes with more features included.
I've been using these S.A.M.E. All Hazards radios for many years. Started with Midland WR-300 'deluxe' style, both died right outside warranty. No longer sold by Midland, probably because such rubbish. Still using a Midland W120, but wanted one for upstairs so I don't sleep through an event without knowing about it. This Emgykit MD319 is just as good as the Midland W120, looks better (not a big white thing), and speaker of better quality, sounds much better than my Midland radios did/do. And most importantly, COMES with an external alert strobe, great for my hearing loss so as not to miss an alert. Also COMES with an external wire antenna that plugs into RCA jack on back. The bonus alert strobe alone makes this a great value, the one Midland sells separately costs almost as much as this entire radio kit! Has all the features the Midland does, and if it lasts, will be the only brand I buy from now on.

Get's all the notifications - Maybe TOO many - Retro look if you want that
First, this thing looks like it came out of the 60's and it's bigger than I expected. Why? This isn't a piece of tech I want to show off, it's a weather radio. It should be discreet until needed. If you don't care about looks, it's the most bang you can get for the buck. It comes with the external antenna you can use perhaps more discreetly than the telescoping antenna and a red light to make the alert highly visible. Beyond that, it's big, ugly (IMO) and gives you TOO MANY ALERTS. I live in tornado alley. All I want is tornado, severe thunderstorms and flash flood WARNINGS. You can go through the tedious task of turning them all on/off individually but I want to control ALL of them. I don't need "Contagious Disease" alerts. I have a cell phone for that. I don't need earthquake or hurricane alerts. Admittedly, my SAME code eliminates them, but I have family in those areas, but I can't control what alerts I get. They tell you the default ones are on, but you can't tell what the defaults are without going through them all. The process took me about 30 minutes. The instructions were generally thorough, but the buttons were pretty hard to press and it got old. You can't set the siren AND voice, which is odd. I'd like to have the audible siren followed by voice. Ideally, I'd like to set it by time so it makes more noise overnight, but that's a lot to ask for the price. I've got mine tucked out of sight, but I sure wish I had this radio/features in something that blended into the average countertop and not off the Starship Enterprise.
