Cats need wet food to stay hydrated. In the wild, they get most of their water from prey. Indoor cats like mine rely on wet food for water. My cat loves this brand, both the fish and poultry flavors.

My cat Bruce will not eat anything else so I'm guessing the taste is great! Looks like human food with high quality ingredients!

This sure seems like a good quality product. There are three flavors in this box of eight pots: Tuna Fillet, Tuna Fillet with Salmon, and Ocean Fish. These are all in the flake format, and I chose the Fish Selection because my spoiled kitties love fish of any kind. Well, ALMOST any kind. It seems that Applaws has found the only fish in the world my girls won't eat! Seriously...I don't get it. This stuff looks a lot like the broth treats I give them once a week. It's a lot of gravy with bits of real meat. In fact, these are very clean and simple recipes, with very few ingredients. My cats should, in theory, love these foods. And yet...cats.A couple things....First, these are really small. As I said, they remind me of the broth treats I give my cats. Actually, there's a lot more in those broth pouches than in these small bowls. According to the feeding guide, a large adult cat should eat three of these every day. There are only eight in the box, so that's not even three whole days' worth of food! And for a pretty penny, I might add. I get that this is higher quality than most of the garbage sold in the pet food aisles at most grocery and big box stores. Still...I usually look for some sort of value in addition to quality. Another issue is that these are really difficult to open...for me, at least. And once I do get a good grip and pull the film back, it often spills. Drives me nuts. Lastly, there was some confusion in the listing about the number of bowls in this box. It said "18 pack" in a couple places, but "8 pots" elsewhere. That's a big difference, and I wasn't sure what I'd be getting.The good news is that our friendly neighborhood cats LOVES this stuff! There's too little here for me to consider this a whole meal for him, but I give it to him in the same way I offer treats to my indoor girls every night. He really enjoys it. But then, I've seen him eat bugs. Ultimately, though, this is more good food that my cats just won't eat. *sigh*Oh, I give this stuff bonus points for being dolphin-safe! :)

My cat loves this stuff, he gets it as a treat not a meal because it doesn’t have all the nutrients a cat needs but he sure loves it. Nice and liquidy for cats that like soupy wet food
