Review: Great for Thrips - My large Viburnum tinus (Laurustinus) bush, (8 feet tall) became infested with Thrips last year. I confirmed the infestation by taking an infested leaf to my local Botanical Garden where the insect was identified. The gardener indicated I should spray the plant with Spinosad. I purchased Monterey LG6150 Garden Insect Spray, Insecticide & Pesticide with Spinosad Concentrate,16 Oz from desertcart in October of 2020 and began spraying my plant every 3 days with a mixture of 1Tbs concentrate in 32 oz. of water. I continued this treatment for 1 month, until I could no longer see Thrips on the leaves. I subsequently decreased the process to 1 spraying every week and continued for a month. It has now been 6 months with no Thrips. The plant has almost renewed it's growth entirely with nice healthy leaves. Even so, every once in-a-while I check for Thrips, but so far my precious Viburnum tinus is doing great. I'm so glad I chose to treat with Spinosad instead of cutting down the plant.

**Q: Can this be applied on artificial turf?**
A: plastic weavels?

**Q: It states it's a concentrate, so how much product do you mix with water?**
A: 2 ounces per gallon of water 1/2 ounce per quart. Mix only what you need. The unused portion can't be saved.

**Q: May it be used full strength?**
A: Although it is totally organic it is in violation of Federal law to use any insecticide outside of the label usage guidelines.  This should be mixed with water at the label suggested rates

**Q: can you combine monterey (with spinosad) with "monterey bt" (with Bacillus thuringiensis) in same spray? Not sure which is better, want to try both**
A: No. Depends on your pest.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally working

I've been battling cucumber beetles and vine borers all year this year. Only lost two plants so far, but I don't plant many to start with. It took several treatments but the beetles are finally rare and the vine boring moths are few and far in between. Not sure if the product is doing it or the time of year, but that battle is being won. This keeps other pests at bay, so combining it and BT seems to be doing OK. A bit pricy, but it seems to do the job, and no smell. I like that part.
