This allows me to use my small rig selfie monitor with a number of different devices. It is well built, easy to use and great value for money.

I have owned and reviewed many SMALLRIG camera and phone accessories over the years, and nearly always been impressed with the design and manufacturing standards, and reasonable pricing. I was able to get this magnetic mount at a special offer price of £15.49, but I would have happily paid the current price of £19.90 (at the time of review in late January 2026). I’ve been using this SMALLRIG magnetic phone mount as part of my Nikon Z6III and OM‑5 setups, pairing it with an iPhone 15 Pro for remote monitoring and geotagging. It has quickly become one of those small accessories that make a big difference in day‑to‑day shooting. Build quality is excellent. The metal construction feels solid and durable, and the magnetic attachment is strong enough to inspire confidence without being awkward to detach. Once the phone is on, it stays put, even when adjusting angles. The rotating mechanism is smooth, with enough resistance to hold the phone exactly where you want it. Where this mount really earns its keep is in camera monitoring and geotagging. Using Nikon’s SnapBridge app and OM System’s OI.Share app, I’ve been able to turn my iPhone into a larger, more convenient monitor for both cameras. It’s especially helpful for landscape and cityscape photography, where composition tweaks benefit from a bigger screen. The geotagging integration has also been more reliable and easier to manage with the phone mounted securely and visibly rather than dangling from a pocket. I’ve used plenty of phone clamps and mounts over the years, but this one stands out for its combination of speed to set up and use, stability, and thoughtful design. It’s compact, well‑made, and integrates seamlessly into a hybrid camera–smartphone workflow.

The magnetic attachment is surprisingly strong, holding my phone securely even when I have it angled quite a bit. I've used it with a few different tripods and it's been compatible without any issues. The cold shoe mount is a nice addition, allowing for easy attachment of extra accessories like a small microphone if needed. The adjustment features are smooth and easy to use, letting me quickly change the phone's orientation. I appreciate that it's designed for various phones it's not just for one specific model. The build quality feels solid, nothing flimsy. It's not overly bulky either which is a plus.

semplice, ma efficace. Lo uso su cavalletti con vite filettata per sostenere l'iphone. Il magnete tiene molto bene il peso e l'attacco è sia a vite filettata, sia cold shoe, quindi molto versatile. Oggetto di ottima costruzione e materiali.

I think this is one of the best phone mounts for iPhone, the magnet is super strong and hold the phone tight, never felt like it was going to fall off or anything. The mounting options for tripods or hotshoe of cameras is endless. Built quality is world class, worth the money

La calidad de construcción es indiscutible. Muy buena como nos tiene acostumbrados la marca. El imán del Magsafe es mas que suficiente, ¿que me hubiera gustado un poco más fuerte? Si, pero cumple bien las expectativas. El enganche en zapata fría es perfecta. Recomiendo el producto sobretodo si usas tu iPhone como monitor.

it's well built, sturdy and does it job. I lost my previous iPhone support for my Ulanzi MT-73 tripod and bought as a replacement. Since it was an universal one, it was a bit of a hustle to set it up. The magsafe feels strong and it definitely makes things easier.
