Makes My Mouth Water
That's a spicy meatball !Just kidding, it's a spicy "Nashville - Style" chicken soup. Very tasty, makes my mouth water to even think about opening a can.No joke.It is pretty hot to the palate, I will say & adding this to some rice or something can help to lessen the "heat." Makes me perspire around my face & forehead... around half a can in. The heat is great & it sneaks up on people & when it does land, it does linger. But I really like that.It is not habanero hot ๐ฅ, to be clear.A note about the sodium content:It's up there. So be aware of that. One whole can = 1720mg... That is 75% RDA in this can. One serving, specified on the can as one cup, has 790mg sodium, w/ "About 2 servings per can" as per the label. (Calculation of 790 ร 2 = 1580, so, thus -- the "about" verbiage on the can.A really mouthwatering soup, & the chicken is very good. Tender & moist. The heat level is also "up there" which I so appreciate. I like the soup though do not regularly eat it now due to the "75%" consideration...Have enjoyed the two cases purchased & still have 5 or six cans left to add to another dish at some point. It was also a nice addition to some of my homemade chili w/3 beans, red & green peppers, fresh cherry tomatoes from the garden, & onions, etc.An easy five-star rating for the pure pleasure of its flavor & heat combination. Would be a regular purchase if the sodium content were reduced to maybe 50% RDA per can. I can dream, can't I ?Review written 2.17.2026

Really Good "BUT"
I have purchased a number of this brands chunky soups and this is the latest one so I somewhat know what to expect & while I gave it 5 stars it actually may not be for everyone. First the taste is excellent. But at least on the first can it had very little chicken or potatoes compared to C's other ones I had. And it is really thick; its also super hot and I like heat but this is over the top. Its so thick that you can & should at times use this and some of the others as a sauce. If its too chile hot what to do?--heat with a little water and this will thin it and probably disipate a little of the heat. As much as I like chiles I believe this one is maybe a little too far with the Scoville heat. And there should be more chicken & potatoes but this one may be very useful over a pound of pasta of your choice -- Campbells is surely on "the edge" with their chunky soup combos.

Hot HOt HOT
Good mixture of chicken (Yard Bird), potatoes, over all a very rich and good tasting soup. However, after the 5th or so spoonful the SPICY HEAT catches up with you. Keep a Beer Handy!

Decent product. But was sent dented can
Campbell's Store, ships and sold by Amazon.com. Bought one can of Spicy Nashville-Style Hot Chicken. It arrived more than slightly dented on two sides of the can. The dents cover a quarter of the can's surface area. Edge of one dent is on a seam. Risked eating the contents. Slightest hint of soap flavor but other than that its flavor and spices were good. Consistency was more gelatinous than I had eaten from any other Campbell's product. Maybe this batch had a bit too much modified cornstarch or cook time, but the texture doesn't bother me, just an observation. One star removed for being shipped a can more than slightly dented, a second star removed for soap flavor.
