Putting together your own bookcase is interesting and normally I have someone else put together furniture. This time I wanted to surprise my husband by getting everything done by myself. I'm over 55 so this was a little more effort because I had to sit and rest in between exertions. First you have to get everything out of the box and then you have to use a screw driver and Allen wrench to put the bookcase together. Frankly I found the instructions easy to follow and all the items needed were well labeled in little bags. Yes they actually include a screw driver and Allen wrench which was very helpful! One person can put this together by themselves but two people would make it slightly easier. The pieces of wood were perfectly packaged so there was no damage. I used those "moving men" sliders to move the heavy about 40 pound box into the living room and then I used them again to move the whole bookcase into the office. The one thing I didn't have was the hammer they suggested using to knock in the little feet for the bottom of the shelves. I used my regular hammer which I put two napkins over and fastened it all with some packaging tape. That worked. I take no responsibility for you if it doesn't work for you. :) For me it was an easy solution and I didn't have to buy a second softer hammer. So yes, I'm very happy with this and now I put about 93 books on the shelves and it is holding up well and I'm pleased to have my own little library of books to read in my office. ~The Rebecca Review

I had a small issue with delivery but the problem was resolved and I received the package the following week. It was boxed well and it came without damage. I was happy to discover it was very easy to assemble and I did it alone in about a half hour. I was also surprised to find when assembled It's shorter than the shelf it's replacing. I thought it was the same size but I think I like this shelf better! It's prettier than the old one and It's sturdier. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and I would order again.

Great bookshelves for my babies nursery! The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is because it was smaller than we expected :/ It was easy for my boyfriend to set these up, we got the 2 pack. We converted these bookshelves into a “closet” for our baby because her parents took up the 2 closets in the house… these shelf’s were perfect for her things! My boyfriend and I are short people (5’3”) so the height of the shelf’s ended up not being a problem in the end but if your tall don’t expect them to be taller than you. The quality of the shelf’s are great for the price we paid and I’d recommend using the wall anchors for security of placement!

Great little shelf. Smaller than expected; however, definitely worth it for the hardware. Might need more than just one or two depending on what you use it for. I used it in my classroom - it worked well for my textbooks. Honestly for the price, well worth it!

Just what I needed to complete my built in wall unit. Easy to put together. Nice sturdy feel. They aligned perfectly and look custom.

Easy to put together and holds lots of items on the shelves.

The title says it all. It's 2-piece "shelf" with a top of two shelves that sits on a bottom unit, like two apple crates of different lengths set together, the smaller one on top. Putting this together is ridiculous. Parts have as many as 16 holes of different sizes (in some type of created "board"), the back is (like) covered cardboard. The kit has 7 (!) kinds of joiners to attach shelves to sides, etc., + 4 rubber feet-on-nails, two "tools" and a set of sticky dots on a pad. The unit is not "easy" to put together in any respect. Far from intuitive or and straightforward, assembly is illogical, inconvenient, & awkward. The system and materials for joining are unnecessarily varied and strange and not necessarily consistent in manufacture. A reviewer said that the screwdriver received in the kit was handy. That's cute. The most recent item that I assembled from this company, a small desk, had screw holes drilled though metal a few mm off on two sides. The one before that (a larger desk) had two support pieces missing that I have yet to receive months later. (Not for lack of asking.) I have about every kind of power and hand tool for wood working and auto repair, and I would still say this unit is not worth the time and effort to pull out of the box. I wish I had not. Better to go thrifting or check Craig's or buy the lumber and get busy cutting, drilling, leveling, instead of buying this absolutely ridiculous product. The result is likely to be much more sturdy. If you built such a shelf from scratch in your kitchen with hand tools and canned goods holding your materials in place, it would go together in a much more straightforward and logical way and you'd have a real wood shelf. I did that about 50 years ago, so I speak from experience.

I bought 2 of these on sale and I'm so glad that I did. They were a bit of a pain to put together because the backing piece is kind of flimsy & when you try to stack the 2 pieces together it's difficult to get it just right by yourself. I had to have my daughter come help me with the 2nd one. I love that not only do they give you the tool you need to put some of the pieces in they also give you a screwdriver. They were the perfect height to fit into my book nook. I love how they look.

This bookshelf was exactly as shown and what I wanted. Well made, no parts missing and easy for my husband to assemble with no complaints. Looks lovely with all my books, Would highly recommend.

Huge amounts of regret that I put these together before trying to peel off the stickers. Large white and yellow stickers on the visible face of the shelf that cannot be peeled off. Makes no sense to me that these were not put on the back or underside. Extremely frustrated with this purchase as these shelves were otherwise exactly what we were looking for. Easy to put together. So incredibly disappointed. The white sticker says it is permanent and not to remove. The yellow sticker is pulling up the wood grain as it peels off.

This is a complete lie. I have some books that dont fit on every shelf. They are all supposedly supposed to be 9.8 then my books should be fitting in every shelf. So some of these shelves are shorter then the others. So if you want a bookcase that has the same size shelves dont buy this one. False advertisement.
