This machine works great for our business. It makes a lot of quality ice fast! After purchase support was excellent too, very responsive.

My ice ball press arrived this morning, and as you can see from the photo, it works perfectly! The key is just to be patient. And keep an eye on it; if you let it sit for too long after it finishes pressing the ice, too much may have melted and you end up with what looks more like an egg than a sphere. PLEASE NOTE: an ice ball press WILL NOT work correctly if you just use conventional ice cubes from a standard ice tray, or the ice makers in most refrigerators (they're too small), and it will not make clear ice unless you are using a larger block of ice that has already been frozen correctly to make it clear in the first place. Also, this brand had the cheapest price I could find for an ice press on Amazon, and since it works perfectly, it makes me wonder why other manufacturers charge in upwards of 3x-5x as much for what is basically the exact same product.

Ice cubes are not totally round. Pricey

Clear ice has become a bit of an obsession to show off to friends. I can make poorly shaped clear ice, but this takes it to a beautiful sphere which will elevate the presentation of any cocktail.I've found the best way to get a full sphere is to use appropriately sized ice to start. I make large ice in a double-walled stainless cup and it's a bit big for this maker, sometimes not fitting between the two posts. When that happens the maker struggles to melt the excess ice and takes a longer time. Smaller ice makes for a quick sphere, but ultimately the product was excellent for the price and I use it daily.

The media could not be loaded. Perfect ice press? You be the judge! There are a couple of things you need to know before considering this press. First of all, if you don’t start with clear ice, you’re not going to end up with a clear ice ball. To make clear ice, I use the method known as directional freezing, using a small personal size ice chest. Once I have clear ice block, I cut the block of ice into 3” inch cubes, which is the perfect size cube for this ice press.The first ice ball goes rather quickly if the ice press is at room temperature, but the second and subsequent ice balls will be a lot slower because the ice presses now cold from the first press. To speed things up, I put my ice press in a bowl of warm water in between presses.I have no regrets with this ice press, and would highly recommend it.

It is a perfect amount of ice. Great value for the money

I purchased this item not realizing it did not come with the ice molding trays. I still liked the quality of the product so I purchased multiple different trays but could not find any that ended up creating a complete sphere, the top and bottom of the cube always ended up being flat vs a full sphere. I reached out to vector’s customer service team asking to purchase the ice mold trays directly from them but they were very difficult and wouldn’t sell me the individual trays for the press so I ended up returning it.

Wanted to try out an ice press before getting one of the snazzy ones that have changeable shapes. I'm pretty impressed with this one. I've made about a dozen ice balls already, it does exactly what it should. After making about 2 or 3 in a row you'll have to warm the mold up with some warm/hot water to make more, but that only takes a few seconds. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a more reasonably priced ice press to try out.
