Question 1

Is it made of people?

Accepted Answer

lOLLLL….That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the ad for it on Amazon. Why in the world would someone name a product Soylent. I'm sorry. It turned me off immediately. Then I checked the list of ingredients and calorie count. 400 calories per bottle. Wow!! And the ingredients...OMG...it might as well be made from people because all the ingredients come from a factory. Ugggg

Question 2

Did the founders consider the 1973 movie Soyent Green when chosing the product name?

Accepted Answer

Nope. The product was named in homage to Harry Harrison's 1966 science fiction novel Make Room! Make Room!, which explores the impact massive population growth could have on world resources. Make Room! Make Room! was the basis of the 1973 science fiction movie Soylent Green, although the movie changed much of the plot and theme and introduced cannibalism as a solution to feeding people.

Question 3

Is soylent gmo free?

Accepted Answer

Actually selective breeding is way worse than GMO‘s. Basically selective breeding is inbreeding to breed pure a trait. That is how it is done. Inbreeding is very bad for any organism no matter if is an animal or a plant. This is why pure bred dogs bred for a certain trait through selective breeding can have lots of health issues. You might get the trait you want, but you don’t know what other genes have also been selectively bred, some of them harmful. You never know exactly what you were going to get. GMO targets individual genes, where you can get exactly what you want, without compromising other genes. I would much rather have GMO then selective breeding. The stigma about GMO is not based on science. Period.

Question 4

Is this stuff made from the same ingredients as Soylent Green?

Accepted Answer

As an experienced time traveler, I feel quite confident in providing an answer to the multiple inquiries about the current formulation (circa 2020) containing processed human remains. If you’re one of the sensitive individuals that are repulsed at the thought, then repulse no more because Soylent is a quality product that contains NO whole humans or any human by-products. As an added bonus to those individuals that hug their dolphins every day, Soylent is DOLPHIN SAFE !

However, as previously mentioned I’m just visiting what is best described as the here now as you know it from the present day as I know it in the year 2525. To avoid a potentially dangerous Doppler effect in the fabric of space and time, I’m forbidden from divulging future events. Just know that I’m aware of the situation regarding Soylent Green from viewing something that used to be called a “video”, but now it’s an official historic document.

When days of future have passed.... the wise eat Gourmet Green.... no questions asked 🤔.
