A great choice for Linux or BSD
When building a Linux system the last thing you want to deal with is weird drivers. So I always look for Intel or Broadcom chipsets in ethernet cards. Intel chipsets in particular are pretty much guaranteed to work. Most of the servers I build have Intel I350 ethernet cards for a reason. They're fast, reliable, and use the rock-solid "igb" driver that you can be absolutely certain will be included in the stock kernel from any Linux distribution The I350 controller chip has been in production since 2011 and Intel plans to manufacture it through 2031. It's fast, reliable, inexpensive, and uses only 2.8W of power. Those features, combined with the high availability of the chip has made it ubiquitous on server motherboards. As a result it's extremely well supported by any operating system you might want to use. Thie PCI interface on the card identifies itself as being built by Beijing Sinead Technology Co. The ethernet MAC address has the correct prefix (98:b7:85) for Shenzhen 10Gtek Transceivers, which matches the name of the seller on Amazon. That's always a good sign; they're using properly assigned MAC addresses rather than just cloning some other card. The card appears to be identical to the I350 cards sold by Intel. The only difference is the price, which is less than half what Intel charges. I'll probably buy more of these in the future. Great pricing and like the other 10Gtek products I've purchased in the past it's a solid product.

Worked with ProxMox
The built in NIC on the MOBO was not recognized by ProxMox. Installed this based on other reviews and ProxMox saw it during initial installation. Up and running now!

Defective. Dont be fooled.
Absolutely does not work. I spent 4 hours troubleshooting this before concluding the card is defective. Monumental waste of time.

Windows 10 Teaming Works with This Card
To answer some questions from above: 1.) Teaming absolutely works in Windows 10 with this card. 2.) Yes, it includes both full and half-height brackets. Does everything I need and more. Has the Intel chipset which was what I was going for. Speed is great and everything functions as expected. Great value for money compared to the Intel I350-T2 or I350-T4. Great compatibility due to the Intel chipset. Works with everything I throw at it! On Windows 10, just skip the CD drivers and download the latest Intel PROSet drivers from Intel. (23.5.1 as of this review.) Anything 22.3 or newer supports Intel ANS, which gets you both teaming and VLAN support.

Using for virtualized router
I am using this card on a ProxmoxVE virtualization platform with PCI pass through to an OPNSense virtual machine router. Performance is great and I had no issues with getting the card passed through to the VM so the VM could take direct advantage of all the card's hardware features. I have had no issues from OPNSense with the card.

Dead on arrival
Dead on arrival. Installing this card prevented my server from booting. Other network cards work just fine. This one's just a dud. Do not buy!

Carbon copy of Intel's card. Runs too hot.
This looks to be an exact duplicate of Intel's design. However Intel likes to skimp on cooling for some reason, so exact carbon copy is not good in this case. In my heavily fanned Caselabs SMA8 case where I have managed to validate the rest of the hardware should be operating comfortably within temperature spec under load (and this system gets loaded up a lot) with an ambient room temp of up to 45C (the hardware is heavily modded to meet this specification), this card is out of spec under load at just 15C room temp with a 120mm Noctua fan blowing directly over it. While it took some effort to modify the rest of the hardware to meet specifications, there was an easy enough path to do so. (The motherboard monoblock did take a while though as it was a special order from a small German outfit.) Just not finding an easy enough path with this, so returning it in order to get a variant of the i350 that does have a heat sink on it.

good quality net card
the I350 card does not work well with hp servers (fans spin very quickly once inserted). the 4 port alternative of the same chipset works fine though... very strange.
