Asiatic Dishes Korean Gochugaru Red Pepper Flakes, Coarse, 7 oz

Loooove this stuff! I use it to make my own chili oil and Korean cucumbers and I literally give out both as gifts because my friends and family love the flavor so much! I’ve bought other brands, but this one has the richest flavor and most natural looking color. I wouldn’t say it’s too spicy, less so than the red chili flakes that is commonly placed on pizza. I definitely use other dried chilis to make my chili oil more spicy.

I decided to make chili garlic onion crisp at home since the little store bought jars were getting expensive. Spent a whole half day prepping and cutting everything. Used these red pepper flakes in the recipe and the bag smelled so good. The quality seems to be great, uniform chili flake size and no clumps. This hopefully will be cheaper for me in the long run value for money wise since I eat it like I’m going to the electric chair. The resealable foil bag looks to be great for keeping the product fresh until I make another batch. Very flavorful and I will use it in kimchi next. Greta product! I’d buy again when the time comes.

I like using this brand of Gochugaru ,you can control how spicy you want it to be when making Kimchi or using it for Hot Pot or just for any food that you want to spice up a little bit.

I use these flakes when I make kimchi. I also like food with a little heat. These flakes work well since they are dry and I can put them in a shaker to get pure dry heat with no tomato or vinegar residue.

Great flavor, not overpowering when used more sparingly.

Absolutely tasteless. We make kimchi regularly and usually use a different brand of gochugaru. I cheaped out this last time and bought this brand. It did nothing but color the kimchi red and cover your teeth in red flakes. No flavor, no heat, and had a weird texture, like flaked plastic or paint. Save your money and avoid this one.

This is powerful stuff. It doesn't take much to influence the taste of the food. It has a wonderful smell to it.

I bought this to make my own crispy garlic in chili oil. It is a beautiful color and aroma while not being spicy hot. Super delicious umami addition to my culinary adventures! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this chili powder!
