Glad I made the purchase
My only regret is not ordering it sooner; took too long to justify the cost. After trying other bikes, this is the best option. It's solid design is better than the multi-part mechanics dream, Bionic Runner.Pros - great cardio; relatively easy to put together, unlike bikesCons - the size, while meant to be sturdy isn't great for turns, fitting into a smaller garage space, or road to sidewalk turns; the presta valves on the tires are irritating; it's slightly uncomfortable how one feels every single minute bump in the pavement; definitely does not do hills, even minor ones.Wondering if the seemingly plastic casters on the rails might wear out faster than another material.Depending on prior training, one may feel the max speed and have to edge off for a bit.

A Great Investment In Your Health that makes Exercise Fun!
I would highly recommend everyone to purchase an Elliptigo for exercise, especially if you have any type of back, shoulder, knee injury. These are a quality made and make exercise fun.I purchased my Elliptigo 3c in October 2015. I had a lower back injury and left shoulder injury from a skiing trip and needed some way to stay fit without the jarring of running. I have been EXTREMELY pleased with my Elliptigo, which due to its design and the fact you are standing when pedaling, gives a wonderful overall workout and is just plain fun to ride. The Elliptigo provides an all-around cardio exercise of a bike without hunching over and hurting my back (and bottom). Since I'm standing, I get a great core muscle workout in my mid-body while my legs get a great workout from pedaling and my shoulders and arms get exercise holding the bike steady. There is no jarring of the pounding of running. The Elliptigo has been excellent for my shoulder and back and cardio (and a great way to de-stress after work). I can't say enough good things about the great overall cardio workout while at the same time keeping my legs, Core, Shoulders and Arms in shape!I ride a 30 minutes (about 8 miles) a minimum 4 days a week (if not 7 days a week) so I'm estimate a minimum 2,000 miles per year. This would total at least 13,000 miles on my Elliptigo over the last 6 years. I have been extremely pleased with the durability of my Elliptigo. It is very high quality construction. I have general repair from the constant use, replacing the rear tire at least once a year (I've learned to always put slime tire sealant in the high pressure tires and now buy very high quality, high tread tires to prolong the tire life). I've also replaced the brake pads, shifter cable and chain that have worn due to use. These are just very basic general repair items from constant use as the bike itself. A testament to the quality is that the slide track and load wheels are original and work perfectly (Again these are VERY well designed with quality parts).I originally had my Elliptigo serviced at a bike shop, but after watching the many videos, I am now able to maintain my Elliptigo myself, ordering parts online. The videos are excellent and very descriptive and the bike is well designed so maintenance is generally easy.I must say that when I was a bit hesitant to pay the $2000 back in 2015 to purchase the Elliptigo 3c, but this has been an EXCELLENT investment in my health as it has held up extremely well and allowed me to exercise, stay healthy (and it is fun so I exercise frequently). I have recommended the Elliptigo to co-workers and family (and occasionally to someone who has flagged me down asking what it is and where they can buy one).I will say my 3c is best for hard payment riding in a generally flat terrain, although you can ride on grass and up steep hills in low gear. I would recommend the 8c or 11r if you live in really hilly terrain. Also I would by default purchase the Toe Cage (in my opinion this should just be standard equipment with a new bike). I also purchased the stationary training which was high quality, although I rarely use it, preferring to ride outside even if it is cold or raining. Luckily I live in Houston so cold isn't a major issue but I ridden in the rain more than once.I would highly recommend everyone to purchase an Elliptigo for exercise, especially if you have any type of back, shoulder, knee injury. These are a quality made and make exercise fun.

Running, riding, climbing, skiing, surfing, skating, sailing = "The ElliptiGO"!
I love all three of my ElliptiGOs. I had spotted someone riding one exactly 5 years ago after I had stopped recreationally running due to foot issues two weeks prior and there was no turning back. I took one for a test ride, was sold and immediately purchased one. I now own three. An 11R, 8C and 3C. I live in an area of uphills, downhills and flatlands. My 11 and 8 gear ElliptiGOs can handle every type of road terrain and I ride my 3 gear in areas with less elevation and to cross train. The ElliptiGO has got to be one of the best cycling devices on the market for hill climbing and downhill riding is a complete blast. As a matter of fact, generally riding the ElliptiGO is a rush. A vessel that promotes endorphin release. Being an early owner, the accomplishments I have seen of what fellow ElliptiGO owners/riders have achieved is mind boggling as far as distance, elevation & endurance. Testimony to the quality of the device and wanting to utilize it. It's a wonderful, non impactual piece of cross training equipment, used for competitive sport, great for getting me in shape and excellent for pulmonary cardiovascular. I highly recommend an ElliptiGO, cannot speak enough about them, and there are no limits to them. Check out ElliptiGO's in depth website for information on servicing and what they have to offer. They have an awesome customer support/service department that can be reached via online or phone. My local bike shop services my ElliptiGOs and reaches out to the company when necessary for advice on service or parts needed with excellent, prompt response & delivery.

Weird initially, but there is a learning curve!
I love this dang thing! I’m a former avid marathoner, and I suffer from fibromyalgia and RA. running always gave me such a high that I just wasn’t able to replicate in other low impact activities. Now that I’m using the ElliptiGo as my go-to ride, that feeling of pure enjoyment is really coming back. And I’ll be honest. I almost didn’t buy it when I took it for a test ride. Almost face planted right there in the parking lot. But once I got the initial stride down (I think of it like a scooter or skateboard push motion) I really took to it very quickly. Gentle hills are a challenge, and I look forward to seeing my form and strength improve.

I never knew training could be this much fun!!
I was coming off a stress fracture from my latest half marathon and looking at more pool running. I was in dire straights. I read about this bike and bought it the same day. 1. It is more fun than I have ever had training for any sport. 2. If you're a healthy runner, you can get more miles in without the wear and tear. 3. If you're injured you can get miles in and not lose fitness. 4. The 3c is a great bike. I regularly go between 20-60 miles, with no pain the next day. Recovery is amazing. 5. I will say if you have significant hills, I would go with the 8 or 11. 5. Ride it and you will have a perpetual smile.
