Review: Great product. Excellent waterproofing. Makes leather look better than when it was new - I have now used this on 4 pairs of boots. As shown in picture, I have used this twice on my Vivobarefoot ESC all leather hiking boots. This has not only made them very resistant to water, but the leather is softer and more subtle, as well as looks a clean deeper color and honestly looks better than when they were new. I have also used these on my Ariat Cowboy boots, my Thorogood Boots, and even my wife's dress boots that she has had for many years. This wax did a great job on all of them. Her boots look brand new and were about 6 years old at the time. It is also quite easy to apply. I just used a microfiber towel, rubbed in circles until the wax was a on the towel and then applied in swirling motions around the boots. After using this single container on 4 pairs of boots, I have approximately half of the wax left so its safe to say you can get a solid 8-12 pairs of boots done with a single can.

**Q: Is this enough for two boots? Would it last a while?**
A: I have done three pair of 6 inch boots w 2 applications each and still have a quarter can left

**Q: Does this give a gloss shine when polished, or is it more of a flat finish?**
A: This product will yield a more matter finish. The typical high-shine effect achieved by standard polish is a product of petroleum distillates. Otter Wax products are made with only natural ingredients to help maintain the original luster of leather.

**Q: I already have the Otterwax bar, could I use it on my boots to waterproof them instead of this?**
A: The Otter Wax Bar works best with fabric, and in some instances sueded leather. While rubbing the Fabric Wax onto leather will help to waterproof leather, it will not last as long as the Boot Wax that is specifically formulated to offer long-lasting waterproofing for leather.

**Q: For a new leather bag, which is recommended, leather salve or boot wax for an initial treatment?**
A: For new leather, we generally recommend either our Leather Salve or Leather Oil. Boot Wax is best used for when an additional layer of waterproof protection is desired.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Otterwax worked great on my nubuck boots

Otterwax boot wax is a unique product that is perfectly suited for nubuck. I have a pair of Rockport chukka boots that somehow got a stain droplet on one toe. I did everything I could to remove the stain, from Gojo hand cleaner to dish soap to saddle soap. The saddle soap worked to remove most of the stain but some discoloration remained. I decided to try to wax or otherwise treat the boots to protect them from further discoloration and try to even out the remaining slight blemish. After much searching for a product that would work on suede or nubuck, I found Otterwax. It arrived promptly on schedule. I applied Otterwax with a foam applicator, but I think a small polish brush, a cloth or even fingers would work just as well. It went on evenly and left a rich light caramel color on what had been very light colored boots. I let the first application dry overnight and then made a second application. I let that dry overnight and then buffed the boots with a shoe polish brush. The boots came out perfectly, and the the new tone is perfect as well. I like it much more than the dirt-magnet beige that was the original color. The boots are now water resistant and the surface is far more durable than as-made. I'm glad I bought the large size tin because I ended up applying it to several more pairs of shoes and boots. It's a great product that is made in the USA from natural ingredients. I intend to keep Otterwax on hand in my shoe polish box from now on.
