I used to think my cleaning routine was "fine," but then I brought home this box of Gun Cleaning Patches, and suddenly, I’m living in a high-definition, carbon-free paradise. If you aren't obsessed with the structural integrity of a 2x2 square of white cotton, are you even living? Why These Are the Crown Jewels of My Range Bag: The Absorbency: These little squares soak up CLP like a sponge in a rainstorm. It’s almost poetic watching the grime disappear. I feel like a scientist conducting a very oily, very tactical experiment. The Precision: They fit through a jag with the grace of an Olympic gymnast. No snagging, no fraying, just pure, unadulterated friction. It’s the kind of satisfaction you usually only get from a perfectly executed spreadsheet. The Quantity: A whole box! I feel like a billionaire. I’m tossing these around like confetti at a wedding. "You get a patch! You get a patch! Everyone’s rifling is clean!" ⚠️ A CRITICAL WARNING FOR THE UNINITIATED: As much as I advocate for the versatility of quality cotton, I must speak a hard truth: These patches are NOT a viable replacement for toilet paper. I know, I know. You’re in the middle of a deep-clean, the humidity is hitting, and you realize the household supply chain has failed. You see that stack of soft, white squares and think, "How different can it really be?" The answer is: Very. Very different. The Surface Area: Unless you are a literal hamster, the math just doesn't work. You’d need a 500-count box just to get through a Tuesday. The Texture: They are "lint-free" and "non-abrasive" for steel barrels, but your skin is not made of 4140 chrome-moly. It’s a "Kind of Experience" you won't forget, and not in the "Kind of Girl" sticker way. The Confusion: Explaining to your family why there are tiny, oily squares in the bathroom trash is a conversation no MBA can prepare you for. Keep these in the workshop where they belong. Your bore will thank you, and your plumbing will continue to respect you.

Well packed in a plastic box, plenty of pacthes for the future, right size for most rifles, handguns and shotguns.

I prefer to clean using a pull-through cord, pulling the patch from breech to muzzle, using a simple piece of string trimmer line (weedeater line). One end trimmed to a sharp point to stab through the patch, the other end melted into a ball to retain the patch. I had previously tried some non-woven patches that came with a cleaning kit but they would often rupture and the ball would pull through, usually leaving the patch stuck in the barrel near the breech. I'm happy to report these non-woven patches are much more durable, even as a single layer but especially when folded once or twice. So tough, in fact, that it's difficult to stab through with the sharpened end of the line so instead I make a starter hole using a dental pick. Overall, quite happy with how well they work and the value for the dollar.

As many posts have said, the patches are thin, but that doesn’t seem to matter, the quality is great and they clean your rifle bore like every other patch, very absorbent and soft. Good price, great value. Will last me quite a while and keep my rifles clean.
