Nexel Wire Shelf, Chrome Finish, 18"W x 36"L

I had bought an 18" x 36" chrome wire shelving unit ages ago. I'm using it in another room now, and thought it would be better if it had another shelf. This Nexel wire shelf fits my old unit, and is just as sturdy. Comes with the plastic locking collars. Very pleased. Packaged well, arrived without any dents or scratches.

I ordered this as an extra shelf to an 18x36" wire shelving unit I purchased some time ago. I admit that I didn't do much in the way of comparison shopping. Initially, I thought that the $39.99 price was a bit steep, but once I got the shelf, I could see that the framing and shelf weave/construction was much more sturdy than the unit I own. I purchased this an additional (fourth) shelf for the very top of the unit I own, but this will someday go on the bottom shelf as the most sturdy base for this unit. Thumbs up!

I added this shelf with no issues to my existing Intermetro shelf that I purchased years ago. Although the width of the shelf is stated as 36 inches in the specs it is actually 35.75 inches wide when measured and I was concerned that this shelf would have been a quarter of an inch too wide to match with my existing shelves. But they fit perfectly. I bought a second shelf afterwards. They are of solid build quality. I highly recommend these if you want to augment an existing shelf unit. The company also delivered ahead of schedule on both of my orders.
