great deal, mixes well, seems on par with other more pricey brands, china
i take matcha as a natural source of it's healthy properties, otherwise i'm not much of a tea person. i have never forked out top dollar for matcha but i have tried a few other brands that were definitely much more expensive than this and i don't notice much difference including the cheapest ceremonial i could find and a couple other culinary- mine is a deeper green colored fine powder- not bright but not yellowed or brown, all have tasted bitter but just a typical strong green tea flavor to me when prepared as a traditional cup of hot tea. i have mixed 1/4 tsp with chai spices in room temp water in morning, or 1/2 tsp with a tulsi moringa teabag in hot water, and add 1 tsp to cold coconut milk smoothie at lunch (plus gelatin, strawberries, beetroot powder, mct & other supplements etc,) all are palatable and not noticeable in the smoothie for sure. comes from china not japan if that matters to you- but this mixes well and i have been happier with this for my uses over previous more expensive brands. update: my current preference is with cold water (FL so mostly hotter weather,) taken at noon with moringa and tulsi powders, recently added fenugreek powder which is bitter too- and found that by adding a generous amount of salt (Baja) cuts bitterness significantly- we're told salt is bad but most of us need more and I use a good salt so this works very well for me. it tastes better sweetened but i don't, and creamy with cold coconut milk is my favorite but I have to steer away from the fat (gerd) so that's not a healthy habit for me.

Excellent Budget Matcha
This is an excellent quality, totally iridescent green matcha, with no off smells or consistency problems. Not the expensive Japanese stuff, but to tally excellent and passable for my matcha needs. Can't get a better price anywhere.

perfect for BAKING
you get a LOT of matcha in the bag. And most recipes only call for tablespoons at a time so you can get a lot of milage from it. Its nice quality, could be better but for the price it's pretty good. Very bright green and fragrant when you first open it, which is great. also, this is CULINARY grade matcha. it is NOT for drinking. culinary grade is of "lower" quality than ceremonial grade matcha, which is what is used in drinks. so it has a grasser flavor profile and not as sweet as other matchas, but that's how it should be for culinary grade matcha

Delicious tea, but whoa! There's a lot of it
Im new to making matcha, I enjoy it when I'm dining out, or at a coffee/tea shop. I thought I'd give it a try at home, so I ordered this. The flavor is excellent, the caffeine kick is great, the price point is good. But it does come in a big bag, and at a quarter-to-half teaspoon of powder to a 6 oz cup, it's gonna last a LONG time. It may out last me. I may need to put it in my will, and pass it on to another tea lover. No regrets, I just wish it had come in a smaller amount. But if you or your household drink a lot of matcha, this is a good one.

First time buyer to make Matcha-flavor Soylent in Bulk Powder Good Deal Strong Caffeine
This was a learning experience. I'd never bought Matcha powder before. I've had Matcha Lattes at Starbucks & Soylent Matcha Flavor Boosters & such. Seemed like a good idea to buy it in bulk to mix my own. So the learning experience? First off this is a product of China. That is clearly stated in description so I won't rate it down for that. 2nd this is unsweetened matcha powder so very bitter. That should be expected being a green tea so I won't rate it down for that either. I just never realized Starbucks & Soylent add so much extra sweetener to counter that bitterness. So for this I mixed 2 heaping teaspoons of Matcha to my Original Flavor Soylent drink. It turned REALLY GREEN. I definitely added too much matcha powder. YIKES! Next time I'll use less, not so much on the heaping. For this strong mix I went proceeded to shake it up to mix it real good & try it out. So bitter! Strong unsweet tea. So I added a pack of artificial sweetener. Still too bitter. Two packs of sweetener? That was good. Not overly sweet like Starbucks Matcha Latte. Good caffeine boost as well. How much caffeine? Reading on that they Estimate 1/2 tsp = 3g matcha = 100mg of caffeine. So 1 tsp = 6g matcha = 200mg of caffeine. So my heaping 2 tsp was maybe 3 tsp so 18g of Matcha that would be around 600mg of caffeine in one serving. Yikes. Be careful. That was too strong. UPDATE: After making many many drinks, I always add in 1tsp of matcha & 1tsp of sweetener to flavor my drink & it is just right. Overall I am VERY Satisfied with this purchase & will consider buying more in the future to flavor my Soylent. I got many many many servings out of this package. Thanks.
