How long does the heart beat stay on? And can you replace the batteries?

The heart beat only stays on for about a minute and then you have to pick it up and put it back on which disrupts the pet. The batteries will last because you have to keep picking it up to turn it back on. Ours didn't last long because our dog wanted to chew it!

I just got this and there's no instructions! I don't see a place to open it up either! Puppy is coming home tomorrow so please help!

Opening should be on the belly area. Velcro and the heart is inside and needs a battery. Good luck.

it will stay on until you turn it off or the battery dies. I would recommend going ahead and buying batteries
