Uncle Ben’s rice
My wife will only cook this rice. Uncle Ben’s tastes so good I don’t blame her for only using it.

Ben’s original white rice is still available!
Love Ben’s original long grain white rice. Problem is it is no longer available in the traditional size box in grocery stores or on line.This item is very large but extremely low priced compared to all the Ben’s flavored rice products that line the shelves.The delivery time quoted seems excessive but I received my delivery much sooner.

Will never go back!
I have always been brand loyal to uncle bens. However, when the pandemic hit everyone hoarded rice and I couldn't find it. I bought some that was $20 for a bag that was supposed to be "special". Seemed normal to me but they said to wash it before cooking. I had NEVER washed any rice prior to cooking. When that brand ran out I still couldn't find uncle bens in my area so I bought walmart brand. HUGE mistake. Even with washing it was like super sticky starchy rice. ICK. I finally, in 2023, was able to find Uncle bens again and bought a 5 pound bag-lol Cooked some today and just like I remembered. No prewashing and came out perfect. I did some research and I think it is because it is parboiled and the others are not. Regardless, I will never buy anything else and will keep a bag on hand for the next apocalypse :)

Quick delivery with no issues
We use quite a bit of rice, and it is usually cheaper to buy it in a bigger bag. For us, the 5 lb is a good size for us to have and be able to use in a reasonable length of time. I was having trouble finding it in our local store and then found I could order it through Amazon for less than it would be at any of the stores in our area. No problem with the order or delivery - and the 'best buy' date is far enough in the future that I'm not concerned about us using it soon enough.

My go-to rice when making soups or casseroles
I use Ben’s Original Long Grain Parboiled White Rice for most everything. I love the fact that it’s parboiled do it doesn’t take quite as long to cook. I also do not rinse it since it’s parboiled. It’s very good quality rice and is a good value for the money. It is not “sticky rice” if that’s what you’re looking for. This is regular long grain white rice that can be used in most dishes such as soups, casseroles or simply a side of white rice.
