Fun Central 50 Pack - 1.5 Inch Mini Glow Sticks - Green Light-Up Party Favors for Festivals, Camping, and Nighttime Events

Amazon has this listed as a toy. I guess you could use it as such, but in my opinion it's not. I ordered these as part of a camping/ emergency survival kit. I figured I'd give them a try for $5 and if they didn't work, I wasn't really out much. I have to say, these things work great. The size and weight makes them ideal for glove compartments, first aid kits, tool boxes, etc. They are fairly sturdy, put out quite a bit of light and lasted for a long time. I know they were still glowing brightly after 3 hours but I went to bed so I'm not sure how long they put out light after that. My only concern would be that they came in a baggie and they could have accidently been activated by all of the other boxes in my package bounding around. They didn't; I'm just saying the packaging could have been a bit better/ more secure.

I used these for night fishing and they're great. Before, I would have to use a flashlight to see if my bobber was still above water. Now I just attach one of these above my bobber and when I don't see a little green light any more, I've got a fish. Note: To attach this to my line, I made a loop above my bobber and strung it through the little rubber holder it comes with and strum the rest of my line through the loop and stuck the glow stick in. Worked great all night.

The chem sticks themselves are awesome, they are small but extremely bright and long lasting. They come with a bunch of "connector" that are just mixed in the bag. The connectors do not go on easy and they are not long enough to really connect to of them and hold them well. So you will just sort through the bag and throw away all the connectors.

These arrived yesterday for a party. I did hesitate on ordering them after reading some of the reviews on here claiming they did not last long enough. I am glad I did order them though. I cracked one open around 4:00pm. When I woke up the next morning about 6:00am it still had a good amount of glow to it. I look forward to cracking more of them open for my upcoming party. I would defiantly order these again and will defiantly refer people to order them here as well.

All the glow sticks worked but many were dim and didn't last very long. However, the price is outstanding and I will continue to purchase them. I use them atop of bobbers for night fishing so I go through several at a time.

I’ve tried multiple glow sticks this size and these are the best. I use them for fishing, since the are the smallest in diameter, they fit right into fishing alarm bells, various fishing bobbers (from Walmart) And they are really bright and the brightness last the longest of all the others brands. I primarily like these the best because being smaller in diameter, they serve more fishing applications.

I know they were short, but not even as big as a capsule. No hook at the top to hang up. Total waste of money. If I could choose half star I would. Very disappointed.

With mixed reviews for all the mini glow Sticks available on Amazon I felt I should add my experience here. I ordered 2 sets of 50 green 1.5" glow Sticks. They arrived in a padded envelope, 50 pieces to a plastic baggie. Seeing that the inside of the glow stick is glass I think a better packaging could be used. I bought these to use for a glow in the dark egg hunt. They fit perfectly inside the white plastic eggs I used. The green color was very bright, even inside the egg. I researched glow chemicals and all indicated green to be the brightest and longest lasting. I was not disappointed. I snapped the sticks and placed in the eggs 15 minutes before the hunt. 45 min later they were still quite bright. 2 hours after breaking they were still glowing. It was an awesome egg hunt!
