HTCDesire 626 (Verizon LTE Prepaid)

I switched from iPhones to this cheap Android smart phone because the iPhones screens racking and then falling apart after I got the screens repaired. So, for $168, I got this phone. It does everything I need and it costs a little less that repairing an iPhone screen, and is a WHOLE LOT LESS EXPENSIVE than an iPhone.Other review have noted poorer camera, screen resolution is poor, etc. The camera is fine for what is. Screen resolution is fine. I do not need better. The battery life has been great!I did not use this as a prepaid phone. I added it to my current Verizon plan and replaced my iPhone 5s. That was a little tricky, and I had to call Verizon to get the phone changed over. But there was no issue.

As far as phones go, this has probably been the worst investment yet. TBH, I think I am done with HTC. I used to want their phone more than any other, but not anymore. This is my last disappointment. My MOTO G is actually better then this phone, the only problem with the moto g is the small size and the easy reset capabilities. The problem I have with this HTC are as listed:CONS-speaker sucks, when I have someone on speaker they can never hear me and it is hard to hear them- phone volume is low on average, even at the highest setting- phone is slow, takes forever to do anything so multitasking is out the door even if you have full bars and running off of wifi- no conference call! This phone looks like it can support it, but it actually can't. My friend has a windows phone from AT&T and his phone outperforms mine any given day-power drainer! Idk if I got the worst of the bunch or what, but even with a power saving app my phone will not stay charged long. I have to put it on the charger at least twice a day. Never had to do that with my other phones.Pros-lightweight-beautiful screen-that's all I got. The Cons outweigh the Pro's significantly on this one.. total fail on HTC part..

Just got this phone this week and am new to Verizon Prepaid. I have been with Straight Talk for years, but after some major issues with their customer service, I have abandoned ship. I am very impressed with this phone. It does have a small notification light that is barely noticeable on the top of the screen under the Samsung name. It is easy to miss, but it is there. This phone is much sturdier feeling than what I have been using and it seems like it will hold up very well. Call quality is AWESOME! Texting is easy. The Lollipop interface is an upgrade for me and has taken some getting used to. I don't like that you can no longer customize the lock screen, but that's easily fixable with another app. The camera is ok, an upgrade from what I am used to. I have not played with it much yet, but so far I am happy. Overall, I am very happy with this phone!

I went to turn it on today and it went to the android screen and then all the sudden went black, keep in mind this is the first time I've ever turned this device on. It will not go to the regular screen so I can set my phone up. I do not know what to do, I would like at least a replacement or something for this 150$ item I bought and it doesn't even work? I am disappointed.Update: Amazon replaced my item completely free of charge do to malfunctioning. My new phone works perfect. It is a great phone that can be compared to much nicer and expensive phones. Thank you Amazon!

Purchased about a year ago - this is a great smart phone for the price, in fact if it were $250 it would be a great phone. Solid working, never had a problem and I have dozens of apps I use daily. Best phone so far and I've had $400 ones that didn't work as well. I have glass-shatter cover on screen and a good protector clam around it. Camera is great. Volume is good quantity and quality. I'll buy again if I destroy or lose this one.

This phone was nicely priced as it was refurbished. I seem to have issues with the camera. One of the most important functions for me is having the convenience of a good camera and recording features on my smart phone as it is always with me. I love being able to document my life, my family and my job through pictures and video. I take tons of pics of my family as well as I use it to post to different social media pages for my job. This also requires that I have a decent camera on my Cell phone as I use my Smart phone to post directly to these social media pages. So I guess in hindsight, I would not recommend this phone for anyone who is looking for a great camera. Don't get me wrong, It's decent, but a lot of my pics come out looking crappy. My husband has the same exact refurbished phone. His doesn't seem to be as bad as mine so could be just my phone as well as I am a little bias to the SAMSUNG brand.

I issued a question about whether this phone had Wi-Fi, because with my previous (still working) phone that I had that I spent $300 over; my vendor would not sell me a phone that could use Wi-Fi without a contract. I highly respect Verizon for being one of the most reliable networks within the business, and before I switched over from T-Mobile; I wanted to do business with Verizon over T-Mobile, even if their plans for pre-paid (I don't use my phone that often enough to go with a contract) were worse, because If I receive a call or text... It would be nice to actually receive it NOW over a couple hours or a day later...Verizon does have a better pre-paid plan over T-Mobile, and in-fact you get a much better bang for your dollar with Verizon over T-Mobile because you can practically use your phone anywhere without skipping or unintentionally missing any phone calls. Now with this phone, I can check my e-mail without having to whip out my laptop and I use a lot of apps that I couldn't with my previous phone.THANK YOU VERIZON!!!

Garbage PhoneI bought the 612 for my daughter and a week later bought this one for myself because the 612 was so good. This was the next one available and thought it would be the same. Its Not....This phone will not do anything right. It is the most clumsy unintelligent programing I have ever encountered.I have had it a month and am already replacing it.I will try to find a Desire 612, they seem a world better than the newer model.This damn 626 is just a nightmare.
