Works well, understand its limits
Easy to use, the one-page (double sided) sheet is descriptive and helpful. When used with an outlet where both are used, you can run into a bit of a problem. The unit "intrudes" onto the second outlet's path. Which means if a two prong plug is used in the second outlet, it is likely that it can be inserted with no problem. However, a three-prong lug may be too "thick" to fully mate (see images). And if a USB dongle or power-brick is installed in the second outlet (see images), it is unlikely that all can be plugged in successfully. It can only be plugged into the top outlet without fully masking the lower outlet. The manual is good at hinting at tricks to be used for properly measuring an appliance's power usage, like commenting that the refrigeration compressor being on will engage power measurements, while hinting that when the device is quiescent, no power is consumed, and the clock isn't running. The display is bright and easy to read, even at oblique angles and in bright, indirect sunlight. The reset tool provided needs to have a clip or compartment in which it can be stored. I will guarantee you will lose this; I'm going to attach it with a string through a hole I'll drill in the tool. I think you can safely use a ballpoint pen, although the mfg does not recommend this. My usage of these devices will be to measure the short and long term power consumption of various devices in order to properly size UPS-style battery backups for medical devices. I am pleased with them so far. I wish I could give a 4.8 or 4.9 because of the limitations I've outlined here. Not as bad as a 4, and not perfect either.

works great, bright screen
Works very well, easy to use. I use it with my midea inverter air conditioners to monitor power usage to make sure I don't overload my generator.

Excellent right out of the box (even with weird UI); great value
I use an Emporia power meter ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CJGPHL9 ) to monitor whole-home and per-circuit power usage, but this product really allows me to focus on a single device. The display is clear and easy to read, and the values if displays are just the ones that I want to see. The "Function" button lets you cycle through the different display modes (e.g., Power, Voltage, Amps), and works exactly as you'd expect. Some display modes have a counter feature, which is also very nice - a graph would have been a nice add-on, but perhaps one wouldn't expect it for the price, which I hasten to reiterate is very competitive. The unit is solidly-made, and has no trouble working with relatively heavy-current items, such as a 1500W kettle, shown in the pics. My only complaints about it are the directed to the user interface. They managed to find room enough to put four buttons on the front of the thing, but to clear/reset the counter display you have to push "Function" and "Up" simultaneously. I may be some sort of weirdo special case, but "Function" (mode selection) and Clear are the only operations I'll ever care about, having set up the small set of configuration options. I expect that I'll only use it once a month or so, and I'll never remember the mysterious chord to reset the counter. I expect I'll write the cheat code on the unit with a sharpie!

Monitor Solor usage to appliances
This upgraded watt power meter plug is a very useful tool for checking how much electricity different appliances and devices are using. It is easy to plug in and gives helpful readings for power consumption, voltage, and energy usage. I especially like it because it helps me monitor how much power certain items are using with my solar power system. It makes it easier to see which appliances are pulling the most electricity, so I can better understand my usage and manage my solar and battery power more efficiently. Overall, this is a handy electrical usage monitor for anyone who wants to track power use, save energy, or get a better idea of what devices are costing to run.

Good basic tool to check power use
I bought this primarily to monitor power draw from an inverter I bought that didn't have a built in meter. If you know anything about inverters, the modified sine wave (square wave) type will read low voltage on a non-true RMS meter. This item actually reads true RMS which is a big plus. This isn't a lab quality instrument but, if you want an idea of how much power an appliance uses, it's a pretty good tool. Display is easy to read. Backlight is a nice feature. Only issue I have, if your trying to set some of the functions on it you have to plug it in. That means you're down on the floor or in another awkward position to set it. Would be nice if it had even a small battery that would charge when you plug it in for a short time and allow you to unplug it to set it. I made a short 12 gauge extension cord to use with mine. Overall, I'm very happy with this unit.

Good value and provided Good info
Works great, wish it had a memory or 2. It accumulated power over several days. That's exactly what I wanted.

The product is pretty good.
The product is pretty good. It helped me figure out which devices were using the most energy, so I could adjust my energy usage by unplugging them and replacing them with ones that don't use as much power. It's a great product for anyone who likes to keep everything under control.

Super way to see your actual wattage
I'm really impressed with this power watt meter. I needed to know how much wattage my brand new desktop computer was using but mainly on the start up and this power meter monitors and shows me that type of information. Here is what the unit will display, the time since connected, the total amount of wattage since connected, the current wall voltage with frequency, the current amperage being drawn plus the power factor, the lowest wattage reading, the highest wattage reading and the total cost for running item. In order for the last one to work, I must enter the price it costs me per kilowatt hour which I got off my hydro bill. I like that this unit has two different resets, a factory reset and a soft reset which will only remove the accumulated data like time since connected, low and high readings. The unit comes with two reset tools, these are for the factor reset but any small blunt object will work as a reset tool. The soft reset is done by pressing two buttons on the front panel at the same time. I also like that I can change how long the screen backlight stays on. If I want to see how much energy my PC uses for the month, then I can set the backlight to turn off quickly but if I'm doing readings every few minutes then I can leave the screen on longer. My options are 10 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours and stay on always. Since my GPS device doesn't say when it is fully charged, I connect my GPS thru the power meter. When the power meter wattage starts to decrease then I know my GPS is almost charged. This power meter also came in very handy as it detected that I was using a USB A to C cable that didn't have the ability to pass more than 2.5 watts. When charging some items, their charge time went from 4 hours to 10 hours so now thanks to the power meter, I checked every USB cable and have rated the cables to their wattage level. Now, I can grab the right cable when charging a device. This power watt meter is outstanding and very useful.

Meter works well, but build quality not great.
Meter appears to work well, but the build quality isn't great. Removing the thin clear film from the display seemed to almost pull the display out of the casing.
