A good gift for a young boy

Bought for a Christmas present so we haven’t tried them yet, giving feedback solely on appearance. The walkie talkies are much smaller than expected. The quality of the material is not as solid as expected. Bought for our 10 year old son to play with hopefully they work as stated. Naturally they are Made in China so I’d say if you are interested in purchasing, expect China (Dollar Store) quality. I think they would be okay at a much less cost.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 8-year-old son in an attempt to provide him with more incentive to get outside to play. I'm overall very pleased with them. The only issue we had was making sure the frequencies aligned across the two devices and teaching the boys to NOT MESS with the frequency. Otherwise, they won't work. The range has been great. My son loves to give one to his friend who lives in the house behind us to use whenever he goes home to "check-in" before coming back to our yard for more outside time. The kids love to use them when I send them into the woods behind the house to search for sticks and fallen limbs for our bonfire. Overall, I recommend these. They're great. They haven't used the compass watches, but I just set them aside.
