Does not work
Followed instructions for how long to leave on and paired it with the conditioner. Tried it 3 times now. Still not made a slight difference to the brassy look of my hair.

Finally a brunette shampoo that tones without staining—and it’s sulfate-free
As a hairstylist, I’m very picky about color-depositing shampoos—especially for brunettes. Most either don’t do enough, dry the hair out, or stain your hands, nails, and shower. 👉 dpHUE Cool Brunette Shampoo genuinely impressed me. First thing I noticed was how soft it feels while shampooing. It has great slip and doesn’t leave the hair feeling stripped or tangled like some toning shampoos do. The biggest wins for me: ✔️ Tones down brassiness without over-darkening ✔️ Does NOT stain my hands or nails ✔️ Leaves hair smooth, not dry ✔️ Sulfate-free (important for maintaining keratin treatments) I personally get keratin treatments, so using a sulfate-free shampoo is non-negotiable—and this one lets me maintain tone without compromising that. I’ve used it on myself and clients, and it’s especially great for brunettes dealing with that warm/orange tone between appointments. Best for: Natural or color-treated brunettes Anyone maintaining a keratin treatment Fine to medium hair types Not ideal for: Very dry or coarse hair needing intense moisture Anyone expecting a dramatic color shift (this is subtle toning) Final verdict: This is one of the few brunette shampoos I would actually recommend. It’s effective, low-maintenance, and doesn’t come with the usual downsides.

Not Much Change
This seems like good quality stuff. I’m not sure it’s made any difference in my hair, however, and I’ve been using it 1-2x a week for a few months. Could be the wrong colour for me, not sure.

My medium porosity hair loves this shampoo!
Here’s my routine with this fantastic shampoo that gives me soft, manageable, BROWN hair without brassiness: once a week I shampoo and condition. After wetting my hair for a good 2-3 minutes I apply the shampoo liberally and massage it all over my scalp, and gently apply it to my actual hair. Then I cover it with a cheap plastic shower cap and shave my legs and listen to music for 5 minutes. Sometimes a few minutes longer. Then I rinse and rinse some more. Only with cool water. Remember: any shampoo left in your hair will keep the conditioner from working its best. After the shampoo is all rinsed out I apply the conditioner from my ears down. Conditioner any higher than your ears will weigh your hair down. After 5 minutes I rinse with cool water until I feel like the conditioner is all out. Then I rinse for one more minute. After all that I’m exhausted lol, but my hair is not brassy, it’s a lovely shiny and healthy brown. I blow dry it on low cool and then I go about my life, knowing that even when things get crazy, like they often do, at least my hair looks good. And that gives me confidence. I hope it does you too.

Works? Not a chance
Does nothing for the red tone in my hair. Used twice and my hair feels like straw
