DO NOT BUY!!!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID - Amazon should be ashamed to even sell this product! I purchased this lock, paid for it to be professionally installed by a carpenter into my door, only to discover it couldn’t be set up to work. After hours of frustration, I contacted Yale support, only to be informed that the app required to operate the lock isn’t available in the UK! Save yourself the trouble and avoid this product if you’re in the UK.

Beware: Not Suitable for Use in the UK
I purchased this lock, paid for it to be professionally installed by a carpenter into a brand-new door, only to discover it couldn’t be set up to work. After hours of frustration, I contacted Yale support, only to be informed that the app required to operate the lock isn’t available in the UK! Not only did I waste money on the lock and the installation, but I may now have to replace the entire door due to the specific fitting for this lock. This has been an expensive and infuriating experience. Yale should make it very clear on their product page that this lock is not compatible in the UK. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this product if you’re in the UK.

It seems like the homekey functionality doesn’t work at all. Nothing happens when you tap the home key on the lock. I’ve reached out to support and they did the typical try a factory reset but as expected, that didn’t do anything. It seems like this product hasn’t been well developed / tested and you can find many other similar stories.

This was my first smart lock or keypad lock. I have had it for a couple of weeks and so far it works quite well. I bought the Apple version and I quite like that I can open it with my iPhone. It generally seems quite well and I only have a couple of minor complaints. The first is that the rectangular plate on the edge of the latch on the part that goes on the door is not removeable. My door only had a round hole on the edge of the door for the latch so I had to chisel a rectangular space for the plate. Other locks that I have purchased had removable plates so I have never had to do that before. The second issue is that the strike plate that goes on the door jamb is just a rectangular whole with no metal box for the deadbolt as in other deadbolts I have purchased. Fortunately, I had a sturdy strike plate with a metal box from another lock and I used that and screwed it into the stud. Perhaps they intend this to be a retrofit lock and assume you already have a decent strike plate. Nonetheless, for the price I would have expected they would include a decent strike plate as I think that is essential for a deadbolt to prevent someone easily breaking in. If you only used the included strike plate then I don’t think it would be very secure as the only thing holding the deadbolt would the door jamb which is a fairly thin piece of wood. These are two minor concerns and easily dealt with All in all it seems like a decent item.

This is a great lock, especially if you’re an Apple user. Installation was easy to follow, I already had a lock installed, so all I had to do was remove the old lock and put the new one in. All the predrilled holes worked. Great looking lock, slick and the sounds it makes for lock and unlock are pleasant. I really like the HomeKit integration. You can use a key from your wallet to tap and unlock, or even use Siri to lock/unlock. Definitely happy with this purchase.

It's a bit weird situation. Bought from Yale amazon shop, delivered to Lithuania, but can't use it, because it requires Yale Access app, which is not available outside US and Canada. Seems like a common issue, too bad I didn't check reviews.
