Buy These Now
We have small rats that have evaded traditional rat traps, are too big for mouse traps, and are clever. Been struggling for weeks only to have them eating a buffet of fruit, cheese and peanut butter but not set off any traps. Then we bought these traps. In 4 days, weโve caught 4 rats. We plan to buy more as well. They are easy to bait, easy to set, and easy to clear. They have killed instantly. And the spring is so tight that when triggered, we can hear it inside! Excellent product and we are so thankful to be getting rid of these rodents.

It works easily! Caught 2 rats!
I set up two of these Ucatch traps after buying them in November 2025, glad it came in a pack of 2. At first, I didnโt see any results, the food was gone, but no rats were caught. I honestly started doubting whether Iโd even set them correctly or put the bait in the right place, especially because I left them alone for a while and forgot about them until December. When I remembered, I went back and watched the setup videos to see exactly how to load the bait and position the trap. This time, I paid close attention and made a mental note of how I set them to ensure that I press on the back so it can snap when a rat enters. Within about a week or thereabout, they caught two small rats! The rats were pretty small, but thankfully I could see the tail from outside but not the bodies. I had previously seen rats in my garage months ago, no idea where they came from, freaked me out! Itโs getting colder in Minnesota so they probably found a way to get in for warmth. After a while I stopped seeing them, even though I still noticed poop droppings, they had damaged one of my fur winter coat. That made me suspect they were still around. Sure enough, Ucatch got them!! When it was time to throw them out, I was honestly scared and grossed out. I thought I might have to pop the trap open and physically handle the rats. On December 11, 2025, I watched the instructions video again and realized how easy it actually was: I just pressed down, released the rat into a trash bag outside, and that was it. I made sure to do it outside, just in case (God forbid) anything was still alive and tried to get into the house. Thankfully, all was fine. I rarely write reviews, but I had to come back and say these traps really work. For the second round, I added more peanut butter (same PB I used to catch these ones) in the bait compartment (I see they sell replacements on Amazon but I donโt need those now, just in case there are more rats lurking around. I didnโt need to clean the trap; I simply opened it to drop the rats into the bag. There was no smell, no noise, and it functioned exactly as expected. One important note: when I was trying to reset the trap after realizing it hadnโt caught anything the first time, I was fiddling with it to see how it worked inside, and it snapped on my finger and fell to the floor. I ended up with a small bruise on my right thumb. So donโt play around with it once itโs set, watch the video and follow the instructions carefully. Interestingly, one rat that died ate the bait fully, while the other one that also died hadnโt eaten much of the peanut butter at all. I had put a generous amount of bait, so maybe it only got a taste before it was caught. I absolutely hate dealing with rodents, but this product made it manageable. Great product!

Great traps for catching rodents and keeping pets safe
Iโm honestly so relieved I found these traps, theyโve been exactly what I was looking for. The biggest reason I chose them was the enclosed design, and it absolutely delivers on peace of mind. I have a curious dog who gets into everything, and with traditional traps I was always worried about her getting hurt. With these, thereโs no exposed mechanism, so thereโs zero risk of her getting her nose or paws snapped. That alone makes them worth it for me. Theyโre also incredibly easy to use. The removable bait cup makes setup quick and mess-free, and I really like that I can set and dispose of everything without having to touch anything unpleasant. Itโs a completely hands-free process, which is a huge plus. Performance-wise, they work exactly as advertised. When they trigger, itโs quick and cleanโno mess, no struggle, and no second-guessing whether it worked. Just effective and straightforward. I also appreciate the thoughtful design overall. The dual entry seems to make a difference in actually catching rodents, and placing them around the house or outside has been simple and hassle-free. Overall, these traps strike the perfect balance between effectiveness and safety. If you have pets or just want a cleaner, easier solution, these are a no-brainer. โญโญโญโญโญ (5/5)

Not good for big rats
Worked fine for small rats, though you gonna need to be careful with the quick release mechanism, one of the traps caught two small rats at once, but when I tried to clean it up one of the rats was still alive and jumped on me! Pros: 1- Quick setup. 2- Pet Safe Cons: 1- the opening is small, won't catch big rats 2- the claw traps small-medium size rats and won't kill them so be careful when emptying the trap. 3- very light weight and strong rain/wind might below it up 4- I used it twice and so far it is holding good, will update this review soon. Overall: Quick and easy to setup, but not effective for big rats and the release mechanism is weird.

No need to reload bait. Reusable many times. Clean kill
These traps are great! Easy to load with bait. I used peanut butter and a little bird seed stuck to the PB. Trapped a rat within an hour of setting. Very easy to set the spring. No fear of snapping my fingers because the spring is inside the tunnel. Easy release of the expired rat. No mess. Used the same trap about 5 times. No need to reload bait.

Easy to use, very effective
Comes in tightly wrapped clear plastic. 2 extra bait boxes were included, so 4 in the package. Really simple to use & CAN'T snap on the fingers like wood ๐ฅ trap. I used peanut butter & caught a pretty big rat. Took outside & squeezed latch over the garbage can in case ratty was still alive. I don't know about endurance yet. Note to manufacturer: A corner model would be nice to tuck away in the corner. This one only gives one open side if it's put in the corner.

Don't expect this to work on anything other than a small mouse
I am not one to normally rate products, but I felt this one was something I should address. For starters, the product came in a timely manner, the directions, the set up, the price, and the bait install were all easy and good. The problem I had was the power of it. I set two traps up (one inside my garage and one outside of a small rock garden) in an effort to catch a rat that was living under a no basement house. Within minutes of setting up the trap the rat took the bait from the trap in the rock garden and the trap snapped onto it. Unfortunately, the rat was still very much alive, easily pried it's head from the trap, and ran back under the house. Time will tell if it parishes under the house leaving a smell. The garage trap I left overnight and found out in the morning a squirrel crawled it's way into the garage and was caught in the trap, dried blood was splattered all over the device. I was under the impression that it was dead and I could dispose of it, until the creature began to violently thrash about. I removed it from the trap onto my yard and am forced to either watch this thing limp away or end it's life with a shovel. In short: the trap works, but unless you want to catch nothing more than a field mouse, it is not worth it.

It works but had to throw out after first use
This trap works, I caught one rat the first night I set it out. However, it didnโt kill the rat immediately, instead, the ratโs head was sticking out where youโre supposed to press down to set the trap. It was a pretty big one so I was not able to release the rat at all and had to throw the whole trap out with the rat. It also took the rat a whole day to die, which was quite traumatizing. I got this trap because I want an outdoor trap that kill immediately, the only options Iโve found so far are this type of trap or the electric one. I thought this would be more cost effective than the electric one but if I have to throw it out after one use, the cost can add up quickly. I still have 3 more in the set so Iโll how the rest go.

It IS dangerous to other creatures too!
I don't know if I can whole-heartedly recommend this trap. I set them with the foods that rats have been picking up at our wild bird feed station, in an area where I thought they would be caught. I have caught only one rat and that was a long way from where I had seen the rodents. The other one caught a wild bird by the beak and broke the top beak. Sadly that little Butcher Bird wont make it in the wild now. Both traps are set and in places where I consider birds or our dogs would not be able to get to, but I cannot stop thinking what would happen in one of our large dogs put their tongue in there!! It is a vicious trap, and will kill rats instantly. I did catch a mouse but because it was little it was just trapped in the jaws and still alive. I think maybe the tunnel part needs to be about 1.5 inches longer on each side to make it more safe. In fact, a child touching the jaws would lose fingers, I am sure of it.
