Would this shirt work well for welders?

It is heavier than a standard shirt, But I think the Wrangler Riggs Workwear shirt would be better.

This shirt is grey chambray

As of 7/25/21, they are still shipping the Dark Chambray (a dark grey) in place of the Grey (a lighter color). Be aware if this influences your decision. Other than that, these are nicely made shirts that are very comfortable.

Size chart on page only shows sherpa lined jackets and big and tall shirts. no regular sizes. i'm 6'2" with a 46 chest. what to buy?

Depending on your neck and waist sizes XL should do. If your neck is over 17" and your waist over 40" you may have to go to XX-Large. Hope this helps

Is this really over a month out for delivery?

I've bought these several times. If they are in stock it usually takes about 3-4 days.
