I have dry skin and always have. I have used lotion daily for years so my skin barrier is healthy but I can’t skip it after a shower or I feel a little tight and uncomfortable. I’ve tried every recommended drug store brand, a few high end brands, and lots of body oils and while they all did what they were supposed to my skin just never felt quenched or glowy until this product! Fragrance: I have heard others say they don’t like the smell but I find it so delicious. It’s got a naturally lactonic scent - to me it smells like creamy butter / warm vanilla / a slight hint of clover. Not a warm toasty scent more fresh & clean but rich when first applied. It’s a sort of your skin but better scent to me that dissipates as time goes on. My daughter always remarks that I smell good after I’ve applied it - like a honey clover field, sweet and creamy. It doesn’t compete with my fragrances at all it’s very soft. Texture: It’s got a spa like texture. A whipped butter that sinks right in. I usually apply it straight after a shower and I don’t need to wait long to get dressed and have never had an issue with it staining. People comment all the time about how soft my skin is, fragrances stay on my skin longer, and I finally have a glow! A little goes a long way - I have a hard time not using too much because I just love it so much!

I love this stuff. I have an extremely dry, discolored elbow that peels. I've tried prescription creams and every kind of lotion and cream for years. This isn't the miracle that's suddenly healed it in 2 weeks of use but rubbing it on 2 or 3 times a day has helped stop the peeling and has kept it soft and less alligator skin looking. I have read reviews about it smelling bad when first opened. It did for me too and I considered returning it for that reason. The first use after opening didn't smell good at all. I used it on my arms and the weird smell stuck with me but I liked how it felt on my skin. After it sat for a day or 2 on the shelf the bad smell went away. It began to smell almost like freshly sharpened pencils then another day or 2 it smelled more like shea butter. I can't explain it. The scent now is very light and doesn't linger more than a few minutes after applying. My advice to anyone ready to return on first smell, wait 2 or 3 days. It works beautifully after a shower/bath. It feels like it would be a little greasy going on but it absorbs quickly. It leaves a nice silky soft feeling after a few minutes. I'm over 50 with dry skin prone to itching. If I have time I reapply it mid day to exposed arms and legs. I know it's a body butter and not specifically for the face, there's better options for the face, but it's been good for me on dry patches under my cheeks to jawline. It leaves a nice glow on makeup free days and helps soften those fine lines. One last thing I saw others comment on is skin sloughing off when used. I personally didn't experience that. I found a long time ago that a little exfoliating in the shower helps any lotion, cream or oil go on better. I know this a long review. Thank you for reading.

I bought this at the suggestion of a group of women online that know EVERYTHING. My skin is dry. It always has been and I have tried A LOT of things over the years. Most things work for a few hours, but my skin just drys up again by end of day. However- someone suggested using this plus a body oil on top & I am here to tell you this is IT. Now, on its own it is great- one of the BEST balms I have used. It definitely lasts a long time. However, if after you shower- you put this on and immediately follow up with a body oil to lock it in-- GURRRRL. You will stay hydrated for days and I am not one to usually say that. My skin feels great and well moisturized. The size is great and lasts awhile- I don't really notice a fragrance- so it is not even as strong as a normal lotion. If we were in an elevator or standing close- I would not be able to smell it- like I can with some lotions. And I know there are people out there who want to avoid fragrances and I think this fits that bill well. I bought literally 3 after buying it once- very affordable and I gave them to my mom and mother-in-law!

If you enjoy the smell of butter, then you will enjoy this body moisturizer. The smell is slightly nauseating and made me feel sick, so much so, that I had to shower again to remove the smell. I loved the way this moisturizer blended in nicely and gave my arms and legs a nice glow. I couldn't take the smell and a half hour later I took another shower to remove the smell. I did try this another day but used it on my legs only but funny thing, when I went for a run, the smaller flies (maybe fruit flies???) seemed attracted to my legs. Hilarious. I guess I will be using this when I don't go outdoors. I won't be buying this again.
