THIS IS THE BEST ONE IN AMAZON I PROMISE!
Well this is what I've been looking for for a while now! If you look at the specs of the other mini dvrs that popped up recently they all record in vga 640x480. This is the best recording quality outside of a HD cam. For micros this is great! I used a mini HD cam on my 2inch and 3 inch builds till now. If you got the space for it get it! It hooks between the camera and flight controller or after the flight controller before the vtx if you want the osd in the video! Goggle dvr you get all the trash that comes with bad reception and diversity switchovers. This skips all that and you get really good video! The thing I learned the hard way and lost video on some my my best flying because as soon as it gets power a couple seconds later the light flashes. It says in the instructions you gotta wait 5 second for it to boot up and then you can press record. This isn't the case it just starts in its own. You need to push the button to stop it then you can press it again to start it when you want it to start. If your using a runcam or similar camera my sharpness was intensified! I like my sharpness on the higher side but this is way too muchYou need to play with the settings if you don't like the picture your gettingI thought it was the DVr and it was just cheap. No I changed my settings and it's way better than I thought it would be. For the price I can't say it enough. Just get one or 2. I have them in all my quads. Even my 85mm whoop!

Blank format sd card to FAT32!!!
Did not think the nidici Mini FPV DVR worked.Had solid red led at power on, no button push would make it blink. Nothing on 32GB sd card that had worked in a different camera.Tried an older 8GB sd, but blank formatted with "SD Card Formatter" to FAT32.Now, LED started blinking after power, found recording on 8GB.Went back to 32GB, blank formatted same way, now this sd card works.Note that documentation writer was not communicating with software writer. Don't need to push button at power on. Assume you still need to push button to save video before power off. Not tested.

Great on-craft recording but auto-start and 3 minute cuts a negative
I have a 250 frame and found the DVR best placed under and towards the rear of the camera. As I wanted a side-entry/exit of the SD card, the button was at the back of the board facing the electronics stack. I ended up printing a cradle with an arm to seat this in to have a push capability sticking out the opposing side of the camera area and it has worked extremely well for over 50 flights since installed. I dropped a star in rating due to the recording feature enabling immediately on power up (around 40 seconds of positioning and preflight on recordings) and the three-minute segment recording. Agreeably flights are usually less than 6 minutes so good flights are only two segments long. I have a Foxeer 1200TVL camera and the recordings themselves are fabulous. I have hit a few trees (I like to FPV fly in forests), logs and one or two (errhmm) electrical failures high in the sky, but the SD card has never popped-out.

The micro sd card breaker
I’ve bought 2 of these in the last two weeks, both are dead already and snapped 3 micro sd cards in the process. Losing your sd card is one thing. But returning home, happy to watch footage only to find that your sd card snapped in half REALLY sucks. For the money spent on 2 of these dvrs and 3 32gB micro as cards, I could have bought a runcam Split nano and a half. I wish I could say something about picture quality...but I never got to watch my footage.

Thanks again ;)
Great DVR no need for the extra weight of a GoPro if you don't mind not having hd and also fantastic customer service

Up in the air on this one
Let me start by saying that the first one I ordered worked great for a couple of flights, then died, it runs a little hot so it was outside the aircraft by the camera so plenty of cooling. Sent it back and ordered another, this time the static interference was horibletso it was sent back, seems like a good unit but with a couple issues. Take a chance and see what you think, if its not right return it,

Runs HOT and eats battery, but works good!
The media could not be loaded. I modified my goggles to install this on the receiving side (no room on a tinywhoop), so that's why there is static in my video. It takes great video, but man does it get hot. I have it on the outside of my goggles for SD card access and I'm glad I do for cooling purposes as well, which I didnt know I would need up front. It gets to the point where you can't hold hold your finger on it, so be careful. It is a bit of a battery hog as well. But at the end of the day, it works as advertised!
