Still working after three years
I purchased this over three years ago for use with our home automation system. When the garage side door is opened the door holder magnetizes and holds the door open. When the power is turned off, the magnet shuts off and the door automatically closes. The power can be turned off using the local wall switch, lack of motion after a certain time or based on other scripted events.

The magnetic door holder was easy to install replacing an old one. That would not hold any more. It worked exactly an expected. I have no negatives.

Actually locks easier at an angle contact. The door is a heavy steel cage door.

Not what we were looking for
You have to connect this to electricity and we just didn’t read the product information correctly so it didn’t work for us!

Worked perfectly for replacement of broken one
I use this to hold a self closing gate and really missed it when the first one broke. This is almost an identical replacement to the original. the only con is the price. there are not many to choose from for this voltage.
