I don't know if I have tonsil stones, but I have horrible bad breath. My dentist doesn't see anything, which is a red flag for me. I came across this product and so far, it is working wonders. I less conscious of my breath stinky. It's only been a few days, so we will see.

I have had the worst experience with this stuff. I’ve struggled with tonsil stones for at least 20 years. This may have gotten one or two tiny ones out over a four day period, but the large stone I’ve been struggling with is still firmly hanging in there. Oh well. At least it will make my mouth taste clean, right? At least it will make my breath fresh, right? Wrong. I’ve struggled with post nasal drip my whole life. This is so incredibly irritating to my nose and throat (you gargle it and it’s all connected) that immediately after I have the WORST sore throat due to increased mucus production and thick awful spit that I can’t even swallow without water. Actual misery. Like I’ve given myself strep throat willingly. Yes, it clears with time, but the increased mucus right before bed means I wake up with my mouth tasting AWFUL. And I imagine the smell of my breath probably mirrors the taste. This was a giant, giant fail for me. Even if allll that ^^ wasn’t happening, just swishing this stuff always burns the right lower quadrant of my mouth for some reason. And I’ve never been able to gargle it for a full 30 seconds as it bubbles up and my gag reflex kicks in.

I love love love this mouthwash because it's effective, lasts long, and is not sweet like conventional brands. I like to gurgle with it first thing in the morning and go over my teeth with a toothbrush, rather than brush with toothpaste right before coffee, which could be abrasive, leading to coffee stains. My tonsil stones and bad breath have faded with time (maybe a month of use) along with consistent flossing, tongue scraping, and other good habits. I wish it came in more flavors like anise/fennel, but the mint in the "light" version is not too strong for me. No need to do a whole capful, just experiment with the amount. I sip it straight out of the bottle, probably about half a teaspoon worth. It's great between snacks or meals when you don't feel like brushing again but need a refresher. My advice: get a toothpick with rubber head. This works well for getting the back teeth cleared out so the mouthwash can effectively get to all the spaces between teeth and gums, which contributes to tonsil stones — especially if you still have your wisdom teeth like I do.

With using this 2x a day for 2 weeks, it’s helped reduce the size of my tonsils a little bit. But I have imbedded/hidden tonsil stones, so it’s hard to tell if it’s helping dissolve them (I’m still finding tonsils).

I think it does help with breath and tonsil health, but a lot of the reviews mentioned the taste was hard to handle, and I agree. It's not even necessarily a bad taste, but since you have to let this rinse hit the back of your mouth to reach the tonsils, it leaves an odd tasting residue in your throat. Hard to use consistently because of this.
