Sony MDR-222KD Childrens Headphones (Black)

Perfect fit. I have a small head and a very short hair, and have a difficult time finding headphones that fit right. I wear them on a very small setting, so I think you would have to have a pretty big head to not be able to use these. (My 4 year old wears them at the smallest setting and fit her perfectly.) They are not tight, so they are very comfortable. I've been using them almost daily for 7 months and they still sound great. Usually by now the sound on one side will start cutting out and I will buy something else, so I've tried a lot of different brands and models over the years. When these do finally break, I will definitely repurchase. One of the pads has been wearing thin and just came off today, which is why I'm on here, to order replacement pads. They still work perfectly so no need to replace the whole thing.

We bought these headphones to go with the Sony portable DVD player to be used mostly by our 5 yr old in a vehicle. They have been terrific so far. I like that they don't go really loud, and are sized to fit him better than regular headphones. He didn't like using earbuds, but enjoys the headphones much more. The headphones are more difficult to carry around, but we also purchased a case for the DVD player (to use in the car between the seats), and it has a zip section to store DVDs, and the headphones fit in there perfectly.

They worked great for my kids to used when in the car. They were compatable with many different toys/DVD player. They have good sound and adjustable size so I can use them as well as my 4year old. They do not have volume control but they are great for alowing my kids to hear me when i talk to them.

No kidding -- I'm a large man with a head to match. I first found these headphones in a consumer electronics store, and despite the description as "children's headphones" they looked like they would fit me, so for the price I thought "Why not try 'em out? Heck they're made by Sony." WOW! These headphones sound like they would cost at least $50, and I listen to everything on these headphones from classical symphonic music to progressive rock, to smooth jazz, to blues, to movies. These headphones must be the best value available today for great sound at an incredibly low price. So I bought four more pair from Amazon to last me the rest of my life. Yes, there are better sounding headphones out there, but they are going to cost five times more and weigh so much more that you're going to get tired of having them on your head after an hour or two. The weight of these "children's" headphones are completely unnoticeable on my head. So I sometimes use them for 6 or more hours per listening session on the weekend.

Bought 2 pairs of these for my 5 year old kids. The says they are for 8 years and above. Not sure if that is a liability thing or what, but my 5 year olds have no problem wearing them. I tried them on myself and attached them to my iPod and was surprised at how good they sound. Not sure how the volume lowering works but at full volume on my iPod they did seem a little quieter than my ear-buds so I guess it works. As for construction. They are all plastic and seem like they make break if given some rough treatment although that is not my experience! They are holding up very well to the abuse of young kids who use them all the time with their Leapsters and tote them around everywhere they go. 4 starts for ease of use because my daughter seems to have a little trouble keeping them on sometimes (hmm, maybe if she was 8 they would fit better).

My three year old uses these headphones. He sometimes has a hard time getting them on just right which can be a challenge in the car. But once they are on and if he leaves them alone, they stay on. I like the volume level on them. We had another brand of kids' headphones that the volume was so low, you couldn't hear the movie over the road noise of the car. These Sony headphones are just loud enough. The only drawback that I see, and it's minor, is that they are bit big making them hard to store in a small bag with the DVD player and videos.

I bought these for my son for a road trip - but he doesn't really care for them. I should have listened to the reviews when they said they didn't get too loud. They are also a bit flimsy for my son so I am uncertain how long they will actually last. My son is 8 and does okay with toys - but they son't seem too tough or durable. They did work for the road trip so we didn't have to listen to his game music for 4 hours so that was something.

Even if it is kid's headphone I feel very comfortable using it. Great sound compared to my 100$ Philip headphone. I've had this for more than a year and it's still in good condition. The only thing you need is buy a set of foam pad cause they get dirty very easy. It's sad that they don't sell it anymore.

Quien diría que los audífonos infantiles, como este modelo, dan una imagen retro y a la vez fresca, personalmente no me gustan los audífonos de diadema aislantes de sonido, pues los considero toscos, incómodos y de diseño muy bajo, podrán en efecto tener mejor calidad de audio, pero no quita el crédito a estos Sony MDR-222KD, donde la calidad de audio se percibe como de las mejores (adicionando la reputación de la marca), los utilizo personalmente con mis Walkman y iPod Nano, y la combinación entre cada dispositivo me permite apreciar mejor las piezas de manera distinta (detectando igual que dispositivo es mejor compatible) , así mismo el hecho que se aprecie el sonido externo hace que de igual manera no te encuentres del todo distraído sobre todo si vas en la calle, personalmente los recomiendo mucho, aparte que son exactos para la cabeza y lo mejor es que no se calientan y ni molestan

These headphones are great - I bought one for my son, and liked it so much that I got a second for my youngest (2), in case I can't find them in a couple years. They're very light, don't slide around my child's head, and feel like they will last. How nice to not have to hear LeapPad sounds effects on long car trips!

For the price was expecting a little better quality. Foam pads for ears are a little coarse.

I bought them for my 6 yr old. They work well, decent sound and have a quality feel to them. I'm hoping they are as durable as other reviewers have stated.

Enfin des écouteurs pour enfants qui sonnent bien. Niveau du volume max est limité pour ne pas endommager les oreilles. Rien a redire. On ne se trompe jamais avec Sony.
