Cute camera with a good design but terrible battery quality/ life. Barely hasn’t enough battery at a full charge for a five minute recording. I want my money back.

This is a wonderful body camera that takes 1080P images and videos and is reasonably priced. The camera itself is very solid. Feels really good. It comes with a lanyard that has a magnetic base that’s very strong. So I was not worried about the camera coming off of the base. It comes with an adjustable clip attachment, as well, if you don’t want to wear it around your neck with the lanyard. Comes with the various cables you need, a micro SD card installed, and a pin to reset the device—and even a card reader. Very straightforward to charge and use. You have a little protected slot on the side for your charger and SD card. You can operate this device to take videos from the app, which I found very user-friendly compared to other devices of a similar nature. Easy to upload videos to your phone via the app, too. You can take images easily, but not with the app. However, they will be saved for you to upload to your phone, so you only need to go into the app to retrieve your photos. You can also retrieve photos and videos using the SD card reader, and the various cables provided, that can be plugged directly into your phone or computer. You get a C to C USB cable, and a C to B USB cable. I found the videos from this to be very good. Like all sports, body and mini cameras like this, they have that wide-angle distortion, but it’s pretty minimal, and easily edited out in whatever software you’re using. The still photos are decent, too, though you have to practice a little bit because you can’t see what you’re shooting. This camera connects to Wi-Fi on your phone. I found it very easy to connect. If you want to change the date and time options, you do that via text files on the device. The instructions make it sound complicated, but it isn’t. It’s pretty straightforward. The instruction booklet and the YouTube videos the QR code take you to are helpful. I am very pleased with this solid little body camera that takes high-def videos. The video and images I’ve posted are straight out of the device, not edited.

The Meoilkolnm mini body camera is small but powerful video recording device. I like the high resolution (FHD) capture as can be seen in my sample video recording. The camera itself is very rugged and can withstand heavy use. I got the white one which comes with 64GB SD card installed and a USB-C data + power cable. Included is a small lanyard for hand carrying and a larger pendant lanyard for wearing around the neck. The internal magnet holds the camera securely to the metal pendant. The only issue I had was the camera rotates a little in either direction when attached to the pendant. This is not a big issue since I have to hold it in while walking so the camera is pointed steadily at the scene I am recording. One push button on the front controls all the functions. On/Off, recording video and WiFi connectivity are the three functions available. I could not take single shot photos with the camera. I was able to download the mobile app and it paired easily with the camera. I was able to record video and take photos using the app. One nice feature the app offers is zooming in and out of the scene. The app stores all the files created by the camera. Using the special data cable I was able to connect to my laptop and manage and move the photos and videos for permanent storage on the laptop so that the space is available for more action shots. The menu allows you to set the length of each recording segments. I used the defaults configured in the camera without issues. I like this camera since it is small. One nice accessory to have is a helmet attachment so I can record video while riding my bike in the woods. Maybe I will 3D print one to add to the functionality of this action camera.

I'm using this on vacation right now. I've shot in both bright daylight, and at a street fair lit by intermittent small lights. It attaches easily to my Chromebook, and I've uploaded the files to Google Drive as a backup. Going through the files, I notice the edges are a little warped (bowed in at top and bottom). The first set of vids was majorly tilted to one side, but that was my fault for not checking to see if the cam was square on my chest. Two negatives, if you want to call them that: 1) The magnetic necklace - you're supposed to stick the cam to the "front." The magnet polarity was reversed, so I have to wear it "backwards" and stick the cam to the backside. No big deal at all, really. 2) The vid files are only 3 minutes long, which means I'll have to get them all home and use a better-quality video editor to string them all together on a timeline before editing. Again, no big whoop. But I'm glad I got it, and I'm glad I brought it with me. I'll have it on when I interview someone tomorrow, and as long as the battery's charged up, I should have no problem at all.
