Very effective, especially to stop obsessive grooming or chewing from fleas bites, allergies, etc. It is safe for the cats to lick and is kind of thin, so easy to apply. Recommend 100%! No stinging. Works great for a flea bite or dry skin. There's a neighborhood cat that was obsessively chewing to the degree she was losing her hair and getting open wounds. I gave her flea treatment, and used the anti-itch ointment around the area. She healed up quickly, her fur is growing back, and she is a happy kitty. Highly recommend! I have a neighborhood cat that had a bad reaction to a flea bite and developed some spotty scabs under her chin & ears and neck. When I found her the obsessive chewing had caused hair loss on her sides and there were raw wounds. I cleaned the wounds and scabs applied the ointment around edges & other places to stop the scratching. Took away the itching

My cat had flea bites. After a bath and treating the fleas, I have been applying Zymox daily, with a cat collar on to prevent further damage. The wounds have gradually closed and the scabs softened, eventually breaking away from the skin and once they were just hanging in the fur I was able to pull them out. The scabs were quite bad in some areas and the healing process took about two weeks of daily application + collar on. I’ve also clipped my cat’s rear claws so it would have less chances to undo all the hard work if it was to scratch again. Make sure to rub the product properly into the skin and that it doesn’t just sit on the fur.

Very happy with this product already! I was hesitant because of the price but it is actually a good sized bottle that I’m sure will last me awhile! My dog has large floppy ears and is more prone to build up and ear infections so I have to clean them regularly. Even with regular cleanings she does get itchy and seems to cause some sore areas in her ears when she itches too hard. My vet recommended to put some hydrocortisone cream in her ears after I clean them when she’s more itchy. This should not be used when there is an infection involved, just if there is irritation. There is no smell and very easy to place in her ears on my finger. A little goes a long way. After I clean her ears she is not itchy at all and usually she is a bit. I am very impressed and we only started using this recently. I don’t have to worry about her licking because it’s placed inside of her ears, but other reviews stated their dogs aren’t licking! I wanted to get one that was formulated for dogs specifically since I’m placing it inside her ears and this doesn’t seem to irritate or cause any issues. I’m very happy and hope it continues to help her!
