I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the quality of this lovely statue of our Holy Mother. Whenever I see her, it brings a smile to my face and a sense of peace and gratitude that she is part of my life. The shipping was prompt and very safe. I feel the weight is sufficient to rest on the pavers without risk. Please note the detail where her foot is treading on the snake. The Virgin Mary stepping on or crushing a snake at her feet is a deeply symbolic Catholic tradition representing her victory over Satan and the triumph of good over evil. This appears in Genesis 3:15. I was so pleased with my purchase that I bought one for my dear friend and neighbor who helped me unpack her and admired the craftsmanship. May is dedicated to our Holy Mother and I was glad she came to be with me this month. Highly recommend.

This statue was well packed. When we got it out of the box I loved it. This statue is absolutely beautiful. Looking at it gives you a sense of peace. I would recommend this statue to everyone.

This Marian statue is truly beautiful. It is also well made and has lovely detail (especially in the facial expression). I will be the focal point of my soon to be Marian Garden on the backside of my home. At 30" tall, it will be about eye level once it is placed on the 2 1/2 ft. rock riser it will sit on. I also intend to have a couple of soft white solar lights directed towards it, so at night it should be especially eye catching. The statue was packaged extremely well which was appreciated because otherwise it might have been damaged in shipping. I highly recommend this lovely and well made statue of Our Blessed Mother to anyone looking to bring a bit of holy inspiration to their area, whether it be for indoor or outdoor use.

This is an update to my previous review. I painted the statue myself using acrylic paints. I used a buttermilk tone for the base coat, and when that was dry I used a whiter white and dry brushed her to pick up the detailing. It's hard to tell in the picture but it really made a difference! As an FYI for those who may want to know, I am creating an altar with our Blessed Mother for indoor use. So I didn't bother sanding or priming the piece before I painted it. I simply used acrylic paint from the craft store. The base coat was called "buttermilk" and I watered it down to a milk-like consistency, then using a bristle paint brush, I just washed it over her about five time (letting it dry between each coat. The figure felt porous to me and so rather than slapping on a think coat of paint I opted to use the watered down method so that the statue would absorb a bit of the color. Once she was dry I took a lighter soft white and using a separate brush I dry brushed her (going against the grain) in order to highlight the details. I hope this helps anyone else who may be thinking of painting her! End of update. The statue of our Blessed Mother is beautiful. Her facial features are delicate and distinct. It is a good weight (not too heavy but not so light that it will just topple over). I bought it for indoor use because I wanted something larger than most indoor figurines but still affordable. My only objection is that I was expecting it to be white but it is a dark grey. Other than that I am delighted with her!

This statue is beautiful. I've been looking for a statue of Mary for 2 years ! It's heavy enough that it doesn't blow down during heavy winds we get here. I highly recommend it.
